From CrossFit to P90X for now

Yes, I'm still here. After almost 3 years of CrossFit, I decided to take 90 days to shake things up a bit with P90X. For the most part, out of curiosity. I finally want to see what the hype is all about.
I haven't been posting for a while, but I decided to start a thread, just incase anyone else is interested. I am at the tail end of week three. These workouts are hard. After all the CrossFit training, I could not believe that it was possible to find any areas on my body that haven't been sore yet. Well, P90X has found them. I can't say that P90X is more challenging or better than CrossFit. It is still HIIT. Its just different.
I am actually loving to hate the Yoga and stretching segments. About 4 weeks ago I started experiencing terrible lower back pains. Never during my workouts. Always after sitting and doing office work or driving - go figure, I should probably work out continuously
The Yoga and Stretching days in P90X are helping my back a lot, and also helping me regain flexibility that I have neglected during the years of CrossFit.
I certainly miss CrossFit, and I'll be back. I can't see myself doing P90X longer than 90 days, without either incorporating something else or switching routines. I don't like doing the same thing over and over again.
But for now, P90X is doing what I need it to do, and I am enjoying a different type of challenge.
Once back on CrossFit, I will probably continue to do the Yoga and Stretching segments on my "off days".

Was traveling for a while, which included a nice DC weather challenge. managed to keep running, but didn't log anything.
Yesterday:
5 mile cross country (trail) run
Today
3.7 mile cross country(trail)run
getting excited about being back in the gym tomorrow for a CF routine!

You have to run with them. My running shoes feel awkward if I am standing or walking, but they feel great if I'm running in them.
When you buy a car, you don't just sit in it. You test drive it. Also, if the store has a return option, buy those shoes and run in them on a treadmill. You will be able to tell very quickly if they work for you.

Sounds like a great workout to me. Burpees 'till you die?  There is a video on CrossFit (perhaps even on utube) that shows a guy doing 1 mile of jumping Burpees.
Also, check out the CrossFit Anyone? Thread. You will now see about 4 different people posting, giving you 4 different ideas on HIIT.
