The Shred is great! It is a 20 minute a day workout that you are supposed to do for 30 days and see how it goes.
It is by Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser.
I am going to finish the Shred on the 15th of August since I took some time off and then I am going to hopefully start the slim in 6 but just do it a few times a week rather than all 6 days! lol

I am terrible at remembering to weigh in! I keep telling myself that I am going to do it and then I forget! I even have my homepage set up to traineo AND I have a reminder on my outlook telling me to go weigh in! I am terrible!

Great job Rachel! Sorry I haven't logged in for a few days! Had to move my husband out of his apartment in Tulsa and back to Wichita and it has been a chore!
I haven't done the shred but I think that I have worked wayyyy harder on the move with the stairs involved and the walking and the lifting and the3 hours of almost constant movement!! lol
I have lost a pound, down to 147 and will get back on the shred tomorrow!
I am going to REALLY try to get my before pics posted tonight!
Hope you guys are doing well!

Great thread, I can't believe I haven't noticed it till now!
Today:
B: 1/2c. oatmeal
No snack because it took me 3 hours to eat that half a cup of oatmeal, I was too busy this morning and kept having to take breaks!
L: Cucumbers and Carrots with 2 tbsp ranch dressing
D: Will be: Chicken Penne Alfredo with steamed broccoli
I will probably have a snack of some pretzels or popcorn around 3 though.

I am sorry, I keep forgetting when I get home to do it. I can't access my photo hosting site here at work, it is banned for some silly reason! lol
I will try to remember tonight though!
How was everyone's weekend...mine was great for exercise, not the shred but heavy duty yard work for 3 of the days...like hours each day! lol
Meals weren't terrible but not my best...weekends are when I let myself go but since I am not losing I am going to have to start watching it on the weekends too!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday! I did!

I did horrible as far as diet goes, I did get a lot of activity in from cleaning the entire house!
I didn't get workouts any because everytime I had time I had just eaten or I had to be somewhere too soon and didn't have time to shower before I went!
I did get up and do it this morning so that is good! Felt good too! I stayed with the level one still since I hadn't done it all weekend but am going to try the level 2 tomorrow morning.
Yes Rachel you do need to get healthy again!
Is anyone having trouble uploading pics? I can't get one to upload anymore..how odd!

That's right!
I am super dependent on that scale, I weigh every mornning, which I know is bad and the daily thing really isn't a good determinator of your weight but it does keep me from overeating if I see that scale go up at all! lol
When I did the slim in 6 last time I had been doing it religiously for 3 weeks and I hadn't weighed in at all but I had followed weight watchers points program to a T AND I didn't have a drop of alcohol the whole time so when I got on that scale after three full weeks of killing myself and had only dropped 5 pounds I was FURIOUS!
Ready to quit, BUT after I took my measurements and looked at the pictures it was an amazing difference! It REALLY kept me going for the last 3 weeks and as I said before I only lost 10 pounds but the inches lost was amazing, no more of the back love handles and my arms and tummy were too great!

I can't wait to see the difference that this program makes, I feel like I am working out a LOT harder than I was with that one and that one was almost an hour a day for most of it!
Okay, ANYWAY, I felt great after I was done this morning! I think I am going to keep doing the Level 1 through the weekend and start Level 2 on Monday.
Is there a diet program that goes along with this or do you just watch your own?

Great job!! It is so nice having someone to be accountable to! This daily stuff is better for me than 3 times a week or something like that because if I don't do it for even one day I get out of my routine and it messes me up!
Did you guys take measurements and pics before you started? If not I recommend to do it tonight.
I only say that because the scale might deceive us due to the muscle factor in it all, but the pics and measurements won't!

Morning everyone!
Oh wowie! I LOVE the SHRED! I was dying after the first level! Just getting up and down was enough to kill me! lol
But I feel great! Can't wait to do it again tomorrow!
Jillian is great, she really tells you straight, if you don't push through it you won't make it! If I could just lost 15 pounds I would be thrilled!

Oh yeah! I did too! lol My weight went up, ucky! I feel super swollen so I think it is just all of the beer that I had the other night!
I was 148 Monday...18 pounds to go! Well, a size 7 is really all I am after! lol AND to look good in a bathing suit in 6 weeks! lol
Just finished my workout and am headed for the shower and then to work, ugh!!!

Oh no doubt! That is terrible about the possibility of surgery! Hopefully they can fix it without going to that extreme.
I hate surgery! I did it again last night but instead of staying awake I took a sleeping pill so I wound up getting up late this morning, I try to leave the house by 7 and I got up at 7, lol. The pills are supposed to make you sleep for a good 8 hours so I was lucky I got up at all! lol
Whenever I take tylenol pm it has the opposite effect on me so I wind up with too much energy! Crazy!
I am feeling good now though! lol I will have time to workout tonight after work though since I got so much done yesterday evening.
=0) I have to get moving!! lol

Oh goodness! I hope you are feeling better now!
I woke up at 2:00am this morning and went to go do my workout at 5:00 and wound up not being able to find my dvd! I just moved my office from upstairs to downstairs and both of my daughters have their rooms back upstairs! Ugh! I think that was plenty for a workout! lol
I am now going through my boxes to find my dvd so that I can start tomorrow! I stayed home from work today since I woke up at 2:00 and couldn't go back to sleep until 10am this morning, I was exhausted! I slept till 3 and have been working on this in-house move since then! ughy!

AWESOME Dreama! Glad to see you back! You are still doing great! I was thinking the same thing, if I don't get back into something soon I am going to blow all my work for the past year!
My special event requires me to be in a bathing suit all day long while on a raft so I am hoping to tone what I do have up! I would like to wear a bikini but I may be stuck in a tankini! lol

LOL...how funny! My hubby and I are opposite in that sense! He has to go to bed early to be able to get up early too.
I usually live off of 3-5 hours of sleep a night. My body just doesn't like the sleep, my hardest part is not getting onto myspace or facebook and wasting my exercise time there! lol
I noticed last time that I had ALOT more energy after the first 2 weeks that I did the program. I don't do it on Saturdays though, just 5 days a week is enough for me. If I didn't work I might but I just want to relax on the weekends! lol
Stay Healthy! I am sure you know this but make sure you get your vitamins in if you are dieting at all! That will help too!

Yay! Thanks guys! I am looking forward to it!
I too will have to get up by 5 at the latest in order to get through the whole workout. I usually don't eat until after I get to work at 7:30 or so so that won't be an issue.
My main goal in this is to get myself into a routine, I know that since I am FINALLY going to be working out that I won't lose as much weight as I would like to because I will gain muscle.
The last time I did this I only lost 10 pounds but I went from a size 16 to a size 9/10 so I KNOW I gained some muscle! lol Right now I am a 9/10 and would like to be a 5/6 or a 7, so hopefully I can do it! lol

Hi everyone!
I know that this is VERY late notice for a six week challenge starting Monday but I have a special event that I am going to in exactly 6 weeks so I have to start Monday.
I would love to have anyone join even if they aren't doing Slim in 6 specifically. Any routine will do! I am going to try to log in daily to record my progress and whether or not I make it through the entire video each day! And log my weight weekly on Fridays.
The program works like this you work out 6 days a week, the first two days are doing the "Start It Up" routine which is 24 minutes long.
The rest of that week and for the next 2 weeks after are doing the "Ramp It Up" routine. This one is 48 minutes long.
Then the final 3 weeks are on "Burn It Up", it is 59 minutes long.
You do this for 6 weeks in a row and get great results! I LOVE IT! I have done it before and lost a bunch of inches, I can't remember now, it has been a couple of years and I can't find the book I wrote it in! =0)
Anyway, would love to have you join me or even just stop by every now and then to cheer me on!

Hi yall!
I am terrible at remembering to weigh in anymore! As the oldies here know I was going through a divorce, well I am done with that now!
We are going to give it another try so moving him out and back in was something of a chore AND we aren't even done yet!
So with all of this going on I am delighted to say that I have dropped 4.5 pounds since my last weigh in!
LWI: 149.5
Now: 145
Missed everyone! Looks like everyone is doing great!

Hello Everyone!
I'M BACK!!
I have missed you guys and my waist is starting to show it!
LWI, not really sure, I think it was like 142
TW: 148, OUCH!!!! I was in the 130's and I blew it! BUT I do have a really good reason! lol
I am getting a divorce...it has been a long time coming so no condolences needed. It is for the best, I promise!
I am also switching to a new role at work and taking on a part-time job for awhile so that I can keep my house, it is only a year old and I built it so I want to keep it! lol
I am not going to be able to keep up with the spreadsheet but I do need to keep up with my attendance here! Sorry for the lull and sorry I couldn't keep up the spreadsheet, I just know that I won't have time now!
Hope everyone is doing well!!
