Thanks Fred.... I hope you find a Wii soon. I am still amazed how hard it still is to find a Wii.
That bowling is no joke. After adding the weights, I found myself sweeping my arm from above my right side to my lower left side bending my knees slightly. I take a few steps before the swing. This requires me to bend my knees a bit and I feel it in my shoulders, stomach and legs. I reverse this every game and switch the Wii character to be left handed. That seems to work well. BTW... Your 1 year old is precious and 60 lbs since August is amazing so the congratulations goes to you not me. That is a great job! OH... and your right... Your children should be your number 1 motivators. Bob (TwinTwo) |

I wanted to share my story with you for obvious reasons.
As a school project, for my 17 year old daughter, we started out own we fitness program 20 days ago. I am 37 and I needed to tone my upper body and loose a few pounds. I decided to add 1 pound wrist weights during the project. We found Boxing and Tennis (If played them a certain way) gave us the best workout. So we set some perimeters. We would play for 1 hour, playing Tennis for 20 minutes and Boxing for 20 minutes. After those, we could choose one of the other sports to wrap up the hour. usually picking bowling or the home run derby mini game. We have logged my weight, total body water and total body fat over the last 20 days. I found out day 1 that boxing with the one pound weights for 20 minutes was an amazing workout, I really felt it in arms and shoulders so 20 minutes were plenty. Same with tennis but I felt it more in my stomach. It was obvious I needed work. As the days went on, I found it easier to get through the hour and found myself picking up the pace and moving around my room more and more. I moved on to 2 pound weights on day 10. I got used to 1 pound weights and needed more. To keep is consistent, I will move to 3 pound weights tonight. (Day 20) I have lost 6 pounds in 20 days. I started at 170 pounds and I am now down to 166 pounds. That is great but that is not the real story here. NOT AT ALL! I always had a hard time sleeping at night. I find myself falling asleep a lot earlier and feeling a lot better in the morning. Due to me going to bed a bit earlier has caused me to eliminate that late night snack I would normally have if I where still awake. That is the only eating habit that has changed. I have seen a HUGE improvement in my waist and chest area. I have put some new holes in my belt due to the reduction in size of the love handles I have built up over the years. My gut is also going away fast. I am starting to see muscles in my chest I have not seen in a long time. I am AMAZED on the results I have achieved in 20 days. The project will end in 10 days and she will hand in her report. However, the experiment will continue. I took before pictures and will take after pictures when the 30 days is over. I feel so good these days that I can honestly say the Wii workout has been a wonderful addition to my nightly activities that will continue for a long time. I used to close the blinds when I played my Wii. Now, I open them proud! OK... Maybe not all the way ![]() Bob (TwinTwo) |

Hey Ryan and Mickey
I wanted to share my story with you for obvious reasons. I think you both are inspirational for many reasons and no matter who has a label, as long as your stories are getting out and helping people get fit and loose a few pounds, that is all that matters. I know... easy for me to say ![]() As a school project, for my 17 year old daughter, we started out own we fitness program 20 days ago.
