Well it is good to see someone else winning the struggle to make this lifestyle change work... Read the whole thread.. Way to keep it up Rachael!! I fell off the face of the planet for awhile because I was struggling too, and weight went up. Your perseverence is a motivation to me!

Well at least I did not gain, and I have been weight training so there could be body fat loss, that I am not tracking.

But Rachael what is your BF? And when in doubt blame the gain on water .

I have found that if you plan meals it makes it easier to stay on track. (a secondary benefit is it tends to save money -- you go to the grocery store with a plan and don't buy any extra stuff you don't need)

We have a 25 Yard pool, not bad, but different than swimming in a meter pool. The place I used to go had a 25 meter pool.

Positive for today. Although I did not make it to the Gym today (watching swimming kept me up late, and actual swimming wore me out good) I did eat very well. Kept my calorie intake with in a reasonable range, and ate my fruits and veggies for the day.

oops did not make it to the gym this morning... I think I over did swimming and then staying up late watching it... I could not get out of bed in time to work out. But I will get there tomorrow, and do my weight training. This just means Saturday will be a combined day of cardio and weights.

WTG Rachael!!! I was in the pool this morning and made 1500 yards!!!! 250 more and I will make a mile. (just need to be able to do it in 40-45 minutes -- that is my scheduled time in the morning) It felt great to push to make that 1500 yards.

Keep up the good work. I am still working toward my goal of completeing a Tri next year. I just have to schedule another 5K to keep myself pumped up.

I started sitting and slowly progressed to leaning way forward pumping my fists and yelling at the TV "GO GO SWIM!!! SWIM FASTER!! FASTER!!! GOOOO!!!"

Me too!!! That was an AMAZING race!!! I was totally drawn in.

The Swimming would be the event I would like. Since I love spending time in the pool. In fact going tomorrow morning to put in my short 45 minutes. (I wish I had 3-4 hours to spend just swimming)

wtg Joanne!!! It is hard when the scale stops moving.. I have been having that issue as well. Clothes fit better, but scale has been teetering at the same place for the last few weeks. Just keep going!! We can do this!!!
