My experience so far with Wii Fit

I bought my Wii only a couple days before joining Traineo. I was on a search for different excercises I could do with various games (based on feedback I saw here) and found some great fun for my son and myself.
I used our new game today for an hour mostly on Aerobics and finished off with jogging and yoga to cool down. What was the most motivational for me so far was the piggy bank. My son (10) and I are having a little contest to see who can keep the "bank" the fullest. Basically we have to use it to compete and he was way ahead of me. I got really bored after it took so long to complete the initial stuff. Then today I was determined to beat all of his high scores. It made me sweat my but off and my only regret is that I have never taken a step aerobics class. I was so getting yelled at by the board off and on at first then it got fun. Trying over and over to demolish his #1 standing. I'm sure he will give me a run for my money this weekend while I'm at work but muhaha...I'm on Vacation as of Tuesday so he'll have some serious work cut out for him then. I like that it tracks my weight, time, and even gives me a kinda yelling for not using it without having to do anything other than turn it on and step on the board. The Wii itself and Wii fit were well worth it so far and way cheaper than a treadmill with much more fun. |

New Challenge

My first post. I've been trooling around this place for a little over a month and watching this group and the Wii group the most. I like to say first that you guys keeping up in posting has been extremely motivational for me. Making me log in every day even if I am not logging my weight, diet, and excersize like I should it reminds what I am or am not doing right that day.
So much that I bought the "biggest loser book" due to having no clue on the show to see what it's all about. I have never counted calories before just went from fad diet to fad diet or diet pill. (most lbs lost on slim fast and I was miserable) So my family is coming in October here in PA from Oregon and we have only seen them once in 4 years. The last time people took pictures and I was mortified. Now Mom has not only lost about 50lbs on Nutri System but also is taking photography classes. I would love to be apart of whatever challenge you guys think up. Hot by Halloween would be great for me. Anyhoo...Hi to all and thank you so much for your posts to help get me started so far. |
