I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday! Between the appointment, errands, leaving very early to get to Huntsville, the party, and then games with my family, I just did not have time. But as has been mentioned, we're having twin baby girls!!

I'll have to post my weekly report on Monday because I totally forgot to take my fruit/veggie pic. But I do have quite a lot of pics from last night - the gender announcement party.

Those who thought it would be boy/girl (my dad, my grandma (dad's mom), Kevin's sister, Kevin's mom, and Kevin's grandad (dad's dad):

(btw: how did you do it?)

Hubby created the pic using Picasa and the gif by using some program he just found online.

I couldn't click on the multi pic told me I didn't have permission to view it

I altered the privacy settings. You should be able to view it now.

Way to go Donna! You're like me, the second it's over you get busy doing everything you've been putting off for school. Good job!

@Al - trust me, we will not be buying everything new. We'll be searching Craigslist and hitting up friends and family.

@Angie - no. Not yet anyways.

@Alison - aw thanks.

Week 17

 Pregnancy Ticker

Today I am 17 weeks! The cubanelle peppers graduated to baking potatoes. This is the approximate length (not width) of the babies.

Here's a drawing for 17 weeks:

Your babies' skeletons are changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cords — their lifelines to the placenta — are growing stronger and thicker. Your babies weigh 5 ounces each, and they're around 5 inches long from head to bottom. They can move their joints, and their sweat glands are starting to develop.

How am I feeling?

Better! I think this has a LOT to do with being done with school. I'm less stressed so my stomach is less upset. Ever since finishing up on Mon this week, I've just been feeling a lot more like me. So it seems that the pregnancy wasn't 100% to blame for my junky stomach and crummy mood lately. I'm still kinda picky and definitely way more gassy than normal, but overall, I'm feeling a ton better. I had enough energy to start my first garden!

This is something that I've been wanting to do for years, but the first time I've actually been able to do it. I'm very excited!

I'm definitely getting bigger. My feet are starting to hurt from the added weight. I finally bought a new sports bra this past week so I should be able to do higher impact activities without pain. Yea!

And I am definitely feeling the babies move. It's up to about 4 movements felt per day or so. Although after I did 55 min of my new prenatal yoga, they were getting crazy. The yoga is supposed to increase your awareness of your baby and increase blood flow to that area. So pretty cool stuff. I'm so happy that the 2nd trimester good feelings are here at last!

P.S. 1 more week until we find out the genders!

Experiment. Try different fruits/veggies and different cooking methods. Keep trying. The more fruit and especially veggies, the better.

@Angie - just the sheer amount of stuff babies need and how much some of that stuff costs. Even I was feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Congrats on finishing Donna!! I totally get the mixed emotions things. Although, I gotta say the relief is usually so huge that the sadness is rather minimized.

I got my first compliment at work today: "Stina you're getting skinny, you have no more belly!" Made me happy to know there are some noticeable changes

Also, and this surprised myself as well, I was offered a slice of cake and (get this) I DIDN'T EVEN WANT IT! It didn't even SOUND good. The thought of all that sugar and flour... it just sounded gross. I couldn't believe it!

Woo hoo!!! Awesome Stina! Time for new pics??

Good luck Mike! Don't sacrifice your knee health for the sake of this weekend. Not so much a concern with the swim but for tomorrow and Sunday.

I finally bought a new sports bra! Yea! It's a heavy duty thing but after trying on 4 and much jumping up and down in the dressing room, I think I found a good fit. I'm excited to try it out.

Haha, yeah. It's just been so dead around here lately. I thought I'd try to see if I could jump start a little life back into this thing.
