Triathlon advice? Or cycle advice?

Two years ago I told myself I want to set a fitness goal to achieve before I turned 30. I walked a half marathon and hated it. I did not train enough and I gained weight the whole time. I was at my highest weight of 293. I started out 2007 with a new determination and set out to run a half marathon. I am down 100lbs and recently ran a half marathon (12/07). I am looking forward to my first marathon in February- The National Marathon to Fight Breast Cancer in Jacksonville, FL. I used Weight Watchers to loose the weight and find a healthy way of eating. I have around 15 to 20 more pounds to loose.

I am thinking of doing a triathlon next but I am apprehensive of buying a bike, cycling, etc. Does anyone have any advice?

I think just trying not to eat box foods has helped me tremendously. There are exceptions- whole grain rice or pasta, Fiber One cereal ( This stuff really helps me stay full and a huge source of fiber), 94% fat free popcorn, and water mix in's. I eat one splurge item a week without guilt. This is often BBQ and I order the kid's meal for the portion size. I also always have a piece of clothing that is my next goal- the scale may say no change, but jeans will tell a diffrent story!

Keep up the good work.

I joined Weight Watchers in January of this year and I am down 100lbs. I have around 15 to 20lbs to go. I am training with the Jeff Galloway program to run a marathon on Feb. 17, 2008.

I feel great and hope to ramp up my toning in 2008. I enjoy Pilates, running, cooking, and now shopping.

I follow the Core plan and try to eat very little out of a box. The plan has been easy and I set very small goals for my self all the time.

Henry Ford said it best- If you think you can or can't you are right.
