Plus, every other fast food restaurant is just as bad as McD's.

IMO every other fast food restaurant is as bad or worse health-wise, but at least tastes better. I'll vouch for those fries as being pretty tasty. There's gotta be cocaine or something in them.

I may just have dipped the double cheeseburger into tostito's salsa con queso...

Thanks for the recipe, Dave!

the opposite could be true

I would say better fitness. I used to go to bed when I was fatter and I could hear my heartrate kind of fast in my ear as I laid it against the pillow. Now, it seems so slow 50-55 bpm, that the first time I noticed it, I thought maybe I was dying!

I ran 4 miles last night. Most ever. Once everything went numb, I felt I could've run 10!

GVT

Sounds like "Givin' It" to me.

If that's the case, I'm going to need to be GVT to start losing weight a little more.

was absolutely working hard enough and was working the way i normally do. to add more intensity would make it too difficult for me to do. i was not being lazy.

Exactly.

I tried to increase my speed, and still didn't get to my "operating level" of 150+ bpm. For how fast I was going on the machine, I thought something was going to break. Either me or the elliptical.

Try the speed bag sims, Derek, (arms up high, circles tight and done as fast as possible for as long as possible)

On the elliptical?

I'd fall off! Or worse, spill my beer!

arent working hard enough or the exercise has become too easy for you

I've adjusted for better fitness over time. I'm going faster than ever to keep the heartrate up to where I think it needs to be (resistance is already maxed out). It was almost like suddenly a switch was turned on (or off) and I couldn't get my heartrate up near to what I was doing a couple days ago.

Good question!

I know a friend of a friend who worked for many hours on Sunday raking the yard and doing all of the spring cleaning stuff. Pretty hard stuff. Rumor has it this person also got a good sunburn out of the deal. Then the friend of a friend did some walking/jogging that night because it was nice out. This person took then took Monday off to rest the body. This morning he couldn't get the heartrate up to speed on the elliptical, doing the same speed and resistance as always, probably averaging 6-8 bpm less than normal.

when I talk in the REAL world people usually just look at me, say "oooh kay..." (accent on the "kay") and then back away very slowly and carefully.
