I believe the rules established by Stephen includes the weekend of June 2 and 3

Yeah, you're right

So if I can run Fri, Sat, Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat I should be able to get 58k in ... he challenge is on. My snot has gone through the green/yellow phase and is now clear so hopefully infection has gone and I can run tomorrow ...

Impressive run John ... 23:27 is getting way too close to my time. I'll need to get back into the short slow stuff ... enough of this ironman distance lark.

I have bolded all my previous attempts so could I please have a colourful line on your graph please. Ta

Do you think you can go Sub20 John???

If Saturday's run goes OK (or might go out Friday) then I might be able to squeeze 58k in

iPod touch doesn't have GPS. You'd need something like this to make it record your runs on the apps.

Mapmyrun is good though ... I remember those days of driving a car to check the distance of a run

Great work Scott ... always good to see the distances going up and the weight going down

The fun thing about doing those is how easy it feels the second(third?) time you try it.

I think the famous quote is "it never gets easier, you just get faster" ... but John's right ... in a few months you'll think nothing of running 8 miles (although at this moment in time its a fantastic achievement!)

I am starting to wonder if my calorie counter is a fluke.

What gives you the calorie figure Stina? Is it based on HR on a watch?

@Jacqueline ... thanks I've done a Half-ironman a couple of times before. My next one is in December at Rotorua. Shortly you'll hear me whining all sorts about wanting to get under six hours on this course (5th attempt this year - 6:02 last year)

When are you planning on doing the Half?

Thanks suz and Rachael ... knee held up really well. Still bit swollen but no more so than before the weekend. Just some residual fluid I think.

Next year I hope to do it all in one day

180k bike done ... the wind was brutal. Massive side wind on a straight out and back course that felt like a headwind either way ... honest

180k in 6hrs 37 minutes ... was hoping for MUCH closer to six hours but it's done!

Swim 1:24
Bike 6:37

Total so far 8:01 ... DOH!

Knee was OK but started to hurt in the last 20 or 30k. Hopefully it'll be OK for tomorrow.
