You can also try melatonin...only use it for a week then off a week...
It has helped me before, but since I have been working out and cutting out coffee by 1pm I have had no problems (except for last night up every hour to get sick...).

Hey "peter Pan" (aka Dean) -
I agree with wanting the yoga poses to just go from one to the next. The Bubble game is fun, but I always 'crash' right before I cross the finish line. I get so excited and nervous that I mess up! I am starting to navigate it faster but it is always the end that gets me.
I am really enjoying the strength ones, too. I am glad that I am able to tone my body. I have learned though, with the strength portion, I need to have the volume up (versus mute) so I can hear when to move...other things, like hoola hoop, running, penguin and step I will have the music loud!

Cardio-What motivates you?
To stop from pigging out I just think of what will happen if I do.
To keep me working out is the thought that I want to look great in a bathingsuit.
I want to be fit and healthy for my daughter and husband.

How does your wife like it? I am so excited for my husband to come home and try it out. I feel bad for 'testing' it before he came home.

To me, skin and bones is not healthy looking. My husband always tells me that he likes curves and would not be attracted to me if I were looking like Skeletor. But, we also agree that we should make our bodies look nice for one another.
I cannot recall which news company I heard this from, but I was half listening and they were reporting that something in the public water is helping people to gain weight. This 'investigation' was sparked because tests previously found drugs (like Zoloft) in the water.
makes me wonder what our government is spiking our water with and why...

Did you all know that there are snack packs that are only 100 calories? They taste so yummy, too! They are packaged in bags about the same size of the individual potato packages...
I am going to drink some water first, before I have a snack.

Claire-
We should get together and create that pill! We can make chocolate flavor and cookie dough flavor... mmm, my tummy just growled!
I know what you mean about lack of sleep, but if the body is not properly rested, it will not properly function.
I remember when a 'boy' broke my heart and in a couple of weeks time, I dropped 15 lbs. I could not eat. So, I can only assume divorce would be like that.

Hey Everyone! I am not sure if you have ever heard of the AMAZING benefits of consume limes... I usually squeeze a lime (instead of lemon) in my water. It tastes great and is extremely healthy. Many people are starting to get sick or are sick and by eating a lime, will help prevent sicknesses and make you better
Limes (Citrus aurantifolia) are thought to have originated from Southeast Asia, they grow in sub tropical and tropical regions. Today limes are grown commercially in the USA, Brazil and Mexico. Limes are similar to lemons in shape but are smaller and have green peel and flesh. Limes can either be sweet or sour in taste depending on the variety.
Below is a small bit of what I have discovered about limes.
Limes are similar to lemons and have many of the same health benefits; they are packed with flavonoids which have anti-Cancer and antioxidant properties. Limes are rich in the strong antioxidant vitamin C; vitamin C boosts the immune system and is great for colds, coughs, Flu, ear infections, osteoarthritis, Atherosclerosis, diabetic heart disease, age-related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Limes contain compounds called limonoids which can protect against different forms of Cancer such as mouth, lung, skin, breast, stomach and Colon Cancer.

SIZE 8 IS PLUS SIZE?!?!

If you look at those rail thin girls...a size 8 is plus...but a size 8 more healthy than they are. They look sickly.
I am used to being a size 4, but after having my daughter I was a size 8. My husband thought I looked great. Now that I am dieting, I am a size 6. When I look in magazine and they tell me a famous person's 'size' I am happy to see that some of them are my size or even bigger and are still considered beautiful!
Stina- you look like a beautiful woman.

I have the Wii and I use it as a workout. The boxing really kicks my behind, but each day I do better and can go longer. That is an awesome piece of technology. I am unable to get on the treadmill b/c the last time my daughter tried to get on it, too. Plus the Wii is more fun. If I take my daughter out with me, she gets bored easily and wants to do other things. So, she loves to join me in playing on the Wii. She thinks she is playing while she holds one of the remotes. I love seeing her swing like she is playing tennis. (She is 2 years old.) Since I am a stay at home mother, I am able to work out more. I had such a hard time when I was teaching.

I have been needing to lose some weight and stumbled upon this site and have realized it is a great motivator! I love seeing the change on 'paper'.
After having my daughter, it has been hard to get back to my previous weight and shape. Eventually I want to be back down to 125!

Quoting: timwilson I am not sure how to take your post - if it is a slam on me or not. Not sure if you are talking about me when you say:
Oh no! Not at all! I am so sorry if it was perceived that way. That was not my intention. I was actually speaking in general. Somone who just always complains and does nothing about it...and when advice is given it gets shut down for one reason or another. Time, please accept my apologies. I did not mean any harm. (I was actually thinking of a few females I know that do this and it drives me nuts!)

Easy access to technology and the lack of parenting are contributing factors to our population being obese. I have to agree wtih Stand Up Bean.
Lazy people - those are the fat people. Some people cannot help it, but when I see a large person chowing down on unhealthy foods and drink...I have NO sympathy.
Technology is also a reason why we have an easier life. Instead of staying on the couch to play a simple game, while eating bon bons and drinking coke...get up and go for a walk!
Now, to play devil advocate...I will be afraid to let me child go outside without someone with her due to all the BS that is out there by human fault. I am also afraid a coyote will attack her (we have at least 5 on the property and they have taken down full grown deer.) So, if it comes to me having to get cooking and cleaning done first...I will go out with her when I can. I will let her play in the drive way, porches, and in the house. We will play Wii tennis (she mimicks what I do.).
There is ALWAYS a solution. I hate it when people contantly make excuses. If all they are going to do is b*tch and moan, I'd rather not be around them. Whaa....get over it!

Today, I want to work out for an hour and a half. I plan on doing tennis and boxing. Tennis for an hour and boxing for half. Between 'games' or 'rounds' I will do lunges, leg lifts, squats, crunches and a few other things...doing a few of them between each game or round.

I am sick of having to buy bigger bras. Once you get into D size (which I am normally), the price increases by 10 dollars. VS fits me best and I hate having to spend 50 bucks for a bra! I am losing weight where it counts, but darn it all....I'd like to use the bras I already have! (My husband is enjoying this though.)
No, I am not pregnant and I am losing weight. I think there is such thing as TOO BIG and I feel I am on the line of that 'gross' big.

Quoting: vashts121 I hate the old men who think it's ok to walk around the men's locker room naked, then wipe their nuts dry in the sauna....I sit there! I want to drop weights on the people who inhale and exhale louder than the music that's playing while they bench....shut up damnit, it's only 135lbs!!!
Ha ha ha!
Thanks for the laugh and not so much of the visual of the old men drying a certain anatomy off! (Shivers)

Quoting: daniellegorman I am sick right now and it F*ing sucks. Hot and cold sweats. I can barely swallow or talk. This morning I almost passed out in the shower twice, but had to sit on the side of the tub because I thought I was going to be sick.
Sweetie...You really need to go to the doctor. It sounds like you will need a doctor to prescribe you medicine. The part that worries me most is that you are having trouble swallowing...
I hope you feel better.
A trick I have learned is that if you get a washcloth and rinse it under COLD water and place it on your tummy, it makes your WHOLE body feel a little better...less aches and pains.
Good luck!
