i was an avid traineo person a few years ago and transformed my body. i was a huge motivator to people and was also motivated. im coming back now with around a 100 pound weight gain and making a complete 360 to a sedentary life. i could use support now which is really hard for me to ask for. it sounds silly but its like i completely forgot how to even move or eat right. i have years of experience in this area but for some reason i seem to need motivation to start. i want to do things very differently this time. i want to make extremely slow changes over a long period of time. im talkign pathetically slow changes b/c my motivation is so slow. any advice and/or support is really welcome. also, do people find upgrading to the plus helpful? is there anyway to speak/chat directly with others that are online the same time as you? i remember that being really helpful.

how do you explain 70 pounds in a few months? i can understand people fluctuating 20 pounds, but 70? yes its alot and im ver upset about it. its so hard to not care what others think. i wish i didnt. i wish i realized that im not that impt to other people and vice versa. i need more confidence and motivation. how do i get it????

thanks pat. im so ashamed i dont even notice myself in the mirror and i want to hide out because everyone was always complimenting me on how good i was doing and suddenly i blew up so im ashamed to be seen in my gym or out in public. i feel i owe an explanation even though i dont.im sick of buying new clothes every week.

thanks matt. im really scared i cant think strAIGHT. im trying to work out a diet plan. i know what i want to weigh and what size i want to be and im giving myself 2 years which is very reasonable but scary that it will take that long. any advice on what else i should do?

hi everyone. sorry for "disappearing" for quite some time. i owe everyone an apology for that. life has not been treating me well and i have to rat on myself and admit that i put on 70 pounds. yup 70 pounds in just a few months. i cant use the excuse that life got in the way b/c life is always full of stress. i can say these last 7 months have been hell for me. i am ready to work hard again. i am very scared. i look very different and my motivation is quite low. my energy is low and i am depressed. any suggestions on how to start to motivate again? where do i begin? walking is hard for me to do. should i just start with diet and then exercise? any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. again, i apologize to all of my motivatees and i am very ashamed of myself  ((

thanks for the info everyone. i am truly so much happier that im not obese so i would take my shape and loose skin over being obese but it is very hard to accept some days. i dont want to resort to surgery as i dont feel that i have done everythign i can yet in terms of diet and exercise and also letting my body maintain my weight for a period of time. i think we all have to make individual choices based on what we are comfortable with and also we have to remember we cant choose our parents so some of us will naturally have better/worse shapes than others but ofcourse we can make whatever lifetsyle changes we can in order to prevent them from becoming worse and/or improve them to the best of our ability.

my body fat is low and i do have loose skin (I know for sure it is loose skin b/c ive asked a few drs.-dermatologists and plastic surgeons as well as nutritionits and body builders) so it can happen.
i am having my bf remeasured to see if other methods show that it is low as well but ive had it done by professional using skin calipers and dexa.

diane-same here. i lost 100 pounds over 5 years and my weight and bodyfat are good. i have alot of loose skin. i am 35. i have to remind myself that it is healthier to be this way than obese and my body is a work in progress. it always has the chance of improving.

hi all.
good to see you time!! hows the blog? biking?
i am actually away on vacation but checking in and i love this forum. i cant promise to check in everyday and read everything as time is limited now but i will do my best to read and post when possible. i love this idea. thanks for sharing everyone.
i recently had a big lapse and weight gain (after a signiifcant weight loss) and am getting back on track finally. i feel depressed and gross about what i did to myself but the more i get back on track right now the better i feel. i realized over time that the more i live this lifestyle, when i temporarly get off track, the quicker i have been getting back on track, which is progress. i have to remember that. i hope everyone is having a healthy day and is taking good care of yourselves. we all deserve to!! dont forget that!!

cardio-good luck with the move.
i didnt exercise tues or wed. today i cancelled yoga and trainer. felt sick. i will try to do a casual walk. i am slowly getting bback on track.

did not do my exercise as planned and went off my diet for 2 days pretty badly. i am moving on. it is not easy but i am doing it. i expect a big weight gain this week and that is ok. any support/encouragement is welcome. thank you and i will see you all again next week and will report my gain later.

i did not do my exercise as planned and went off my diet for 2 days pretty badly. i am moving on. it is not easy but i am doing it. i expect a big weight gain this week and that is ok. i am human, tomorrow i was supposed to do a hiit workout but there is no way my body can do it. i still feel sick so i am committing to 35 min of easy movement to get me back on track.
