Hey Laura, if you have access to books in english, I would highly recommend Potatoes Not Prozac by DesMaison. She has a program designed to help people with sugar issues. I went from being a sugar junkie to take it or leave it with sugar in about 3 months. If you try it, the hardest part is to take her advice and change slowly, cuz you will want to do it all at once if you compulsive like most sugar addicts. It is a very thoughtful book, and will help with sugar addiction, anxiety, depression, and weight loss. Also a very very active website. Ignore the goofy title. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended if you experience yourself to be a sugar addict. good luck

yeah laura, sorry, i wasnt meaning to say walk 4 hours a day, sorry if i sounded flippant. i am definitely a stress eater, and a serious sugar addict. if you are a sugar addict, one thing that can help a lot is to eat a bit of complex carbohydrate & good quality protein at EVERY meal. i found this really reduced my food cravings after only short while as it gave me very even blood sugar throughout the day... amazing how that impacted my stress too. Exercise is great for stress, prayer is good too if you are the kind of person who it agrees with... hey, here is one, how about making a list of things you are grateful for and focussing on them for a few minutes before you start eating? hard to feel gratitude & stress at same time... i hope something of this is helpful.

ooooo last 3 days have been grim, was on business trip, ate bad, no exercise, a bit depressed. today food was good, and a walk. i am perched on the edge of a precipice! collapse or move forward... pick me up guys!

You know, I visited italy for 2 weeks, ate gelato every day, and lost 8 pounds. the place was so incredible that i walked about 4 hours a day, seriously... I got to tell you, i hate posting after clifford because I basically agree with everything he says. walk, bike, & run, and have the time of your life!

i do 10 minute miles all the time, but only when driving my car. sweet fancy moses you done great! ok, now i am gonna have to see what a 10 minute mile on an elliptical feels like, challenge on! great job!

sweet! buyin smaller pants! i am workin my way back into wearin all the clothes I havent been able to wear for years... Down from 44 inch waist to 38 inch waist and dropping! yippee! today, the maroons @ the gym didnt have the remote control if you can believe that, so only did 42 minutes on elliptical & 25 minutes free weight. Tomorrow 1/2 hour of HIIT, some ab work, and 40 minute walk. Its incredible how impatient I am, sometimes i get so frustrated that I havent lost more, but when I look in the change in the old body i have to be grateful!

today was a half hour of long interval HIIT & another 10 minutes chillin on the elliptical. Sundays (tomorrow) will be a blast, I will do an hour or maybe an hour and a half on the elliptical & 30 minutes of free weights. I dont have a TV @ my house, so I go to the gym and watch most of the game while on the elliptical. Makes doing an hour and a half a snap! Go get em all!

I would concur with Clifford, start with a body fat test. Sometimes our self images dont jibe with reality, but it is hard to know without quantiative information.

Thats exactly what I am gonna do tomorrow Sher- 30 min HIIT. plus I think I will throw in a 40 minute walk and some ab work. I think I was behind the door when god handed out abs, I am strong as a bull, but no core at all. We have a super nice gym opening very near me in February, and they include a fully equipped Pilates studio & classes. I am going to give it a shot. Mebbe I can go from a no pack to a 6 pack. Hell, I would take a 1 pack at this point.

Well, I have been doing 90 day challenge, and have lost 5 inches off my waist, but only 15 pounds after 66 days... I was aiming for 30+, that is not going to happen. However, due to intense cardio/weight routing, i probably lost more than 15 pounds of fat. I am RADICALLY stronger & my cardio capability is way up. I think when I am @ the end of the 90 days I will be moving from long interval HIIT to Tabata Intervals, which is exciting & terrifying at the same time.

havent been posting, but been working out! i got 30 minutes of intense cycling, and 20 minutes of medium free weights... tomorrow will be an hour on elliptical Hey I have lost almost 6 inches off my waist since i started this 90 day deal. Woot!

Interesting, I looked it up and the next pound I lose is gonna move me from obese to overweight! Course, i dont know about BMI, it is awfully generic way of measuring. If anyone has an opiniion on weighs to measure body fat I am curious. Submersion test hard to find. I tried Tanita scales, but there were two scales in the store next to each other and one had me @ 10% lower than the one right next to it! (yes, i know, i should have bought the scale hahahaaha) . I looked on Amazon @ a caliper that generally got good ratings... only 9 bucks. Opinions? Thanks....

well, i lost about three pounds yesterday on the "24 hour flu" diet... trust me, you dont want to know! back on track though. i got a nice compliment today from someone re weight loss, man i love that stuff! tomorrow you will be 30 mins of HIIT and most likely a 40 min walk... Was all i could do to eat enough food today, and trust me that is seldom a problem. Peace all!

i hate needles 2! keep us posted. Hey Monique, awesome goals! Tell us how you did. I got 33 mins of HIIT long interval training in today, 25 minutes of freeweights, & a 40 minute walk as well. Tomorrow will be swim 6/10 of a mile & walk 40 minutes. Maybe I will do something @ the gym @ lunch too, just to try to keep up with Monique! Wonder how Stephanie, Glovia & Sher are doing... stay strong all!

Hey Charley & Rachael... sorry to be slow responding to those who asked, but yes the next days have been better. in general, i am more fortunate then i deserve to be I must say... though that fact does not seem to slow down my whining hahahahaha. weight loss is never as much as i want, but on the other hand my fitness level is MASSIVELY improves since i started this 90 day deal, no comparison whatever....

I am on bp medicine too CK. Lisinopril or something like that. I take it once a day, and no side effects whatever. I hope to get off it one day if i can get to around 15% body fat. Hang in there CK, crossin my fingers on the blood work, and hoping the bp medicine is easy for you. Today I swam 1/3 mile and did 35 min of HIIT (long interval) food good so far, but I am going to a party tonight so I am crossing my fingers... Peace to you all...
