I'm Back.......
Introduce yourself!

So here I am back here on the site but for the wrong reasons. Been a member here pretty much since the site opened and was doing very well with my weight loss. But almost 3 years later I'm back where I started. I'm 31 years old. My wife and I are expecting our first child the end of September. I stepped on a scale last night of noticing that my clothes did not fit anymore. To my surprise I gained almost 40lbs. At my lowest point I was weighing in at 309lbs. That was the lowest I have been in years. Now here I am looking at the scale and 1/2 my clothes not really fitting.
I do not want to be a overweight father and die at a early age. This has giving me the first step to getting under 300lbs. I guess that's where I am reaching out to the Traineo Community to help me along my journey to my goal.

Your going to feel that way for a while as it seems that Trainer is pushing you to your limit. When I had a Trainer for a while I loved that feeling of being sore. I guess it gave me satisfaction that I was actually doing well But Protein and Potassium are a good to have after you work out. Have fun.

Well i'm more of a sashimi person. I love Tuna and Salmon mmmmm. I have this web site that has alot of the facts on the different types of rolls and such. http://www.sushifaq.com/sushi-calories.htm
But generally speaking Sushi is a good choice imo. Try to stay away from the sauces and tempura types and you will be ok.

HELP!!!!
Diet & Nutrition Tips

Posted: January 17, 2007
I have completely fell off the wagon and having a hard time getting motivated. I have been heavy all my life and up to about a year ago I was close to 400lbs(not sure on the weight). About four months ago I was down to 306lbs. I was doing great, mind you I had a personal trainer. I recently purchased my first house in July 2006. After that I quit having the personal trainer and went to a different gym due to money issues. Owning a house is alot more money than I though lol. Thats basically when I started to go down hill. Work stress and person issues with my family made me stop all together and gained 20lbs. So today I weighed myself and I saw 326lbs.
So today I decided that I dont want to be like this anymore. So here is my plan but I need some guidance.
Basic Diet:
Morning Egg on a wheat bagel
Morning Snack Protein Bar (300 Cal, 30g Protein, 6g Sugar)
Lunch Turkey on wheat, Peice of Fruit
Mid Afternoon Snack Protein Bar (300 Cal, 30g Protein, 6g Sugar)
Dinner Grilled Chicken Breast, Sweet Potato, Broccoli
Evening Snack Protein Shake(need help on this any good ones?)
Work out routine
Monday, Wednesday, Friday Cardio
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Strength Training
So thats my Plan im going to try to stick to. I just need help on a Strength Training program and any ideas on the Diet plan. Changes or suggestions are welcome.

Start off SLOW!, I cant stress this enough since I hurt my knee and took about 2 weeks to heal because I was pushing my self. Take a look at this article. I've been using this as a plan of action and so far its been working for me. Good Luck

My guess is you might need better shoes with support. Also what are you doing for a 2 hour period? Have you been doing this much exercise for a long period of time or did you just start? If you just started this routine I would say to take it slow. I ended up hurting myself and had to take almost 2 weeks off because I pushed my self running way too much and didn't start off slow. Check the shoes and go from there

Cardio Cardio Cardio, atleast 30min per session 3-4 days a week. Cardio is Running, Elliptical machine, Rowing, Stair master, basically anything that keeps your heart rate going. Fit those sessions in between your Weight Training and you should start to see those lbs come off

I used that actually product for about a week and I noticed no change. But the thing is with me that Caffeine doesn't effect me at all. I could drink 4 Red Bulls and go to sleep right after that. But my Personal Trainer that I had for a while used these before he worked out and said they worked for him. I guess YMMV.

Well any playlists from iTunes will work. You must be outside of the US since all the branded Nike+ playlists have been available since launch. http://runpl.us/forum/ is a forum dedicated exclusive to people with the Nike+ kit, They have weekly challenges and such. Check it out. On the improvements Im sure Nike and Apple are working on new features. They were the first to have something like this. Though Adidas just came out with a Polar Kit. We will see how that pans out.

We should just make a 300+lbs Club. That way we all can motivate each other Hey man you made it do 250 so obviously what you where doing was working for you. We all hit plateaus and those days where we just want to slack off. Just think about when you get to your goal. Keep at it we all are battling the same war.
