Trying to Lose the Final 10
Introduce yourself! |
Hey Rachel D! I agree with Rachael M. You should be getting somewhere around 1500 calories or so, but then again I'm not a doctor.
I would say to focus on the little things, like walking or biking to the drug store, or taking stairs instead of the elevator, etc, and make sure you include some fat and protein in your food... though not too much. From the point of view of my nutritionist, if you don't eat any fat your body will feel deprived and will hold on to what you already have. Also, change from bananas and apples to oranges, grapefruits, lemons, tangerines and anything remotely citrus-y Good luck.

Time of day you exercise
Exercise & Training Tips |
I usually exercise in the evenings because of my schedule... run off to the gym at like 7 because I finish school at 3, homework at 6 ish. Come fall semester, it'll probably be in-between classes or in the morning. And I agree, as long as you work out it shouldn't matter when.

New here

Hey Florieke.
Greetings from America. I gradually gained weight because I hate sports. Except volleyball, tennis and some soccer. I've been doing the same thing [eating every 2 hours] for the last couple months and it's been working great, so definitely stick to it. I'm trying to get into the routine of working out, but this semester, work keeps piling up and I'm running on very little sleep, trying to juggle work with school. Good luck in your dietary endeavors! |

24 lbs down!! Compared to everyone else, this seems insignificant. But for a person who never lost a pound, this is great.
I am happy and motivated now

Hardest Obstacle To Climb As A College Student...
College Students |
Hardest thing is finding the time to eat healthy foods and make it to the gym. Most of the time it is much easier to order chinese food and do homework while you wait for it.
I have been on-and-off eating healthy and working out [originally 2 30-min sessions a day, now down to twice a week on average]. However, since starting this 'lifestyle change' July 20th [5 weeks ago] I have dropped 19.6 pounds. From 335 I am now at 315.4 lbs [I am like 6'4, mind you]. Right now it is friday, and all the homework/reading/LSAT prep has got to get done tonight, since this weekend I have to work. Tofu spaghetti is being cooked as I write this. |

What Is In Your diet?
College Students |
I can't seem to lose weight. I'm 6'4, ~330. I usually eat close to 3000Cal a die, see a nutritionist once every 3 weeks, and work out on average twice a week.
I can't lose weight....at all. I don't really eat unhealthy either. I'm Cuban, so my food intake is a combination of root crops, rice, black beans, nuts, cheese, milk, bread, and fish. I've no clue what to do. |
