Thanks Christopher.
If you need new ideas, this is definitely the place to come. Justa introduced me to HIIT and Rachael M introduced me to Stronglifts 5x5. It was definitely what I needed since I was plateauing with what I was doing at that time.

It's not worth working out when you feel like that. I had mono last year and I couldn't work out for like 2 months. Just make sure you are still eating right and that's all you can do until you feel up to par.

Other positive news, I'm finally getting back into working out again!

Christopher,
If you don't want to hit a plateau, you'll have to keep changing it up.
I suggest some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and weights.
If you keep changing it up then your body can't get too used to something and will changing for the good!
And keep up eating right and you will be on the right track!

My feet shrank 1.5 sizes!
My breasts doesn't HANG out of all of my shirts anymore.
I always like to put my feet up on the seat when I'm sitting even if it's just one leg. I could not do that for the life of me because my legs were too big. Now I do it all the time.
Even just crossing my legs when I'm sitting is like a girl now and not like a guy haha.

School's need to start offering more healthy options that aren't a fortune. I ended up gaining 5 lbs in the last few months because of it. Urg. Now time to work it off again.

There is totally a difference! it might not be huge, but it's still there! I didn't really notice a difference in myself for a long time. Even when my pants were hanging off me. Some of it has to do with the fact that you see yourself every day. If your diligent about taking pictures, you will see where you were and how far you've come!
-10 to 15 lbs is better then nothing or a gain of 10 to 15 lbs so congrats!

Congrats Kathy!
I started with the same goal with 150 lbs being my realistic goal and 140 being my unrealistic goal. Like I'd be happy to get to 150 lbs but anything less then that was just icing on the cake.
Before you know it, you'll be at 145 or possibly less if you keep it up!
Congrats again!

I'd weigh myself everyday if I owned a scale. So I'm limited to when I go to the gym. I guess it's good motivation to get my butt there to see how I've progressed!

Thanks everyone! It's good to be back. I'm not going to be able to be on here as much as I would like (for time constraint reasons) but something is better then nothing!
Today was a rough workout. Guess that's what happens when you don't go to the gym for 6 months.

How do you avoid getting sick?
Off-Topic & General Chat
|

Cold FX period. The second I feel I'm getting sick I do their regimen of:
3 pills, 3 times a day
2 pills, 3 times a day
1 pill, 3 times a day
This generally prevents me from really getting sick. If you're already really sick doesn't really help but right at the beginning when you know it's coming I would suggest doing the above. I know they are pretty pricey, but they are very much worth it!

Hi Everyone!
I know it's been awhile, but I'm back. Glad to say I haven't gained much if any, but I haven't been going to the gym I'm starting up again tomorrow. Some may think it's a new years resolution thing, but it's a I'm just ready to be hard core again!
I have really come to realize that I need this site to keep me accountable so here I am. I'll be updating my weight once I weigh in tomorrow at the gym :(.
I'm glad to see so many familiar faces still here too! Yay!

Justa mentioned the High Intensity Interval training (HIIT). I agree that it's great for cardio. Here's the plan online if you want to give it a try.
You can also try googling couch to 5k to get you running as well. It's a great plan and many of us on here have done it.
