Thanks everyone for the help, it's great to see I'm not alone in this. I guess when it comes down to it, I'm just going to have to stick to the will power thing, but I suppose I'm used to it to some extent by now.
Cindy,
The funny thing is I cook every night, but I have to cook multiple things because of some picky eaters (e.g., some refuse to eat brown rice for example). Not fun to say the least.
Thanks again everyone!

After a nice cardio session at the gym, I returned home to be greeted by a familiar smell, the smell of bacon and french fries (Mexican families eat fries instead of hash browns). It is no secret that I'm trying to be healthier and lose weight, but I still have to deal with scenarios like this all the time. Inhaling these aromas got me thinking about the latest podcast episode, and made me realize my family, although supportive of my quest for a healthier lifestyle, have been and still are, enablers.
As a child I ate a lot of hamburgers, pizza, etc., and even now when my family eats fast food, I have to make my own dinner just so I don't ruin my progress. As though having that temptation isn't enough, I'm confronted with the "Only one meal won't hurt you. Go ahead and have that hamburger/hot dog/enter poor food choice here," discussion at least once a week.
It's obvious we've all had an enabler at one point in our lives, but does anyone still have that person or group of people and if so, how do you deal with your situation? I know I've confronted my family about these potential problems before, but nothing seems to change so I'd be eager to hear what other people are doing.

Hello everyone!
My name is Talina, I like most of you, found Fat2Fit by complete accident. A few weeks ago I was perusing through the health section of iTunes's podcasts, and this one sounded interesting. Lucky for me, it was not only interesting, but helpful and honest.
I'm currently 23 years old, and I've been overweight all of my life. My senior year of college, I decided to lose weight, so I joined Curves and CurvesComplete.com and started changing my life. Since then (about 1.5 years) I've lost 40 lbs, and I'm now about 150 lbs and in the best shape I've ever been.
Although Curves helped me get started with losing weight, the knowledge I've obtained/am obtaining from this podcast is helping me get rid of the last 15 lbs forever.
Thanks for the podcast, and thanks for reading.
Talina
