Thanks for the info about the texture but my curiousity still has the best of me and I want to try the. Where did you end up actually finding them?

NSVs - Non Scale Victory

NSV - I bought a size 8 pair of jeans and they fit!
A co-worker keeps joking that he doesn't recognize me because I look so good (he's like the office grandpa though, everyone loves him he's so sweet) I walk during my lunch hour daily in addition to biking to and from the train and going to work out on a regular basis. I don't see the double chin in pictures as often! |

What was your trigger?
Fat 2 Fit Radio |
My trigger was also pictures... and mirrors! I realized that I can only untag so many unflattering pictures before I realized it wasn't the camera that was making me look chubby (double chin, stomach popping out etc).
I found that before I've lost the weight (still working on losing another 10-15 pounts) I avoided mirrors and my own reflection in windows. Now I'm constantly looking at myself in the mirror and "modeling" doing "sexy" poses and feeling pretty darn good about myself! I'm not quite where I want to be but it honestly makes me so happy being able to just look at myself and see an attractive person staring back! |

combining Weight Watchers and BMR needs
Fat 2 Fit Radio |
I think combining WW and listening to F2F is a great idea. I actually was on WW for a while when I first started listening to the podcast, lost about 15 pounds and felt really good about it, but the meeting times ended up becoming inconvenient for me as I have a long commute and weekends were the only time to go. I often found myself going out of town on weekends so... I missed about 2-3 months and finally realized I was keeping the weight off myself and the points just weren't doing it for me anymore so I quit WW. This actually corresponded with me getting engaged and wanting to save money! Haha, most people join WW when they get engaged.
Anyways, I think listening to F2F is kind of the training wheels to get off of WW. I know the program works but you have to slowly ease yourself out of their program because you aren't eating enough. If you like going to the meetings that's great, do whatever keeps you motivated. I just know it was cost prohibitive for me. |

Smaller meals myth?
Fat 2 Fit Radio |
Maybe you can do 3 larger meals and then have a small snack in between. In my opinion getting to eat every few hours makes me crave food less, so I have light string cheese, a SMALL handful of almonds, yogurt or fruit as a snack handy at all times.
This works for me, I don't really do the 6 "meals" but I eat probably 6 times a day. |

Introduce Yourself to the Fat2Fit Radio Group!
Fat 2 Fit Radio |
Hello all! I am a big fan of the podcast and have been listening to it since I accidentally found it when searching for "biggest loser" podcasts in February 2010. Needless to say I'm so happy I'm listening to your motivated approach as opposed to the biggest loser podcasts that I came across.
I listen to your podcast religiously, I literally have all of them on my iPod so I have something fresh to listen to constantly that reminds me of my motivation. About a month ago I purchased Season 1 and I definitely recommend it! I started losing weight through Weight Watchers in January 2010 and through them I lost about 15 pounds, I've since quit WW and have just started living like the thinner person I want to become. Since adopting this approach I've lost an additional 8 pounds and I really feel like I'm going to keep it off because I'm losing the weight slowly. I'm getting married in July 2011 and would like to lose another 10-15 pounds by then. My daily lifestyle changes are activity based and food based but I'm most proud of the activity I've been sneaking in to my schedule. For instance, I live about 1.5 miles from the train that I take to go to work in Chicago, instead of having my Fiance drop me off every morning, I've been riding my bike to and from the train daily, I generally bike from the train to the YMCA where I'll do either cardio or resistance training depending on the day. I also take 30-50 minute walks during my lunch hour DAILY. I'm not looking forward to the cold winter ahead but I'm going to make it work as I keep telling myself, a thin and healthy person would WANT to get this activity in. I've "faked it til I 'maked' it" now and I actually want to do this activity! THANK YOU RUSS AND JEFF, you're an inspiring duo and I hope to contribute more in the upcoming podcasts! |

How often do you get on the scale? If you get on the scale!
Fat 2 Fit Radio |
I like to weigh myself daily because I get to see those tiny movements from enjoying my healthy lifestyle. Plus right now I'm at a weight I haven't seen in 3 years and every time I see it, it just makes me feel amazing! Therefore it's motivating!
