Wii arm-ow!

Thanks for all of the replies. I started hitting the Wii again, since I got bore by the gym and my spring break is working on my appellate brief. I am now feeling the pain again in BOTH arms, thanks to Rayman 2, and yeah, I had to wait until it was on sale- only $30 at best buy right now! I figure a new game is cheaper than a gym membership and I seem to find a little extra energy to play and only realize I was working some unknown muscles when I wake up the next morning. I am almost relieved to sit in a library and type away!
Any news on the Wii Fit? I love Rayman because its fun, but Wii sports bored me a long time ago.

Perhaps because it works, and there's little need to post. Consider the old saying that no news is good news, and most of us our enjoying our wii (and weights). Try to be more positive if you're going to post on this forum.

You sound really motivated- but take it easy on the cardio and use some weights (e.g. arm-band weights) when you play the wii to help tone. You've got a great plan for "scale" results, but the visual results will be much more appealing. Don't be shocked if the scale doesn't move down quite as fast when you can fit into the "skinny jeans" again! This is a great sign that your body is saying thanks and picking up the metabolism slack you've been working so hard on!

I am so happy that one of our members (hey_suburbia sadf) will be trying out the Wii Fitness in New York. Go get 'em Tiger (and Tigress)!
On a side note Nintendo, I was wondering when you were planning tp actually release more games that were geared to us adults? I admit, I'm only 23, but the reason I bought a Wii after saving up and skimming off my law school student loans was to have fun and get a little fit!
Mr. Fils-Aime, the last game I played prior to any game in the last 10 years was "Crash Bandicoot". As I understand one of the main motives for purchasing a Wii is interaction that not only get you off the couch (done) but gets you moving (your game selection lacks in this aspect).
While it is understandable the marketplace of World of Warcraft and Legends of Zelda, and whichever shoot-and-aim game of the moment demands a wider market, I hope that everyone checks out their local craigslist to see how many Wii's are available. I love getting playing my Wii, but only if the games I can purchase allow me to use more than virtual X-Box or PS3. Otherwise, I'll just sell my console and games and have far less fun and pay less (unwillingly) at a gym.
Nintendo and Mr. Fils-Aime: Bring Wii to the willing!

By the way, I don't sell and have never sold isagenix. Maybe people whom have had problems with the 9-day didn't adjust their lifestyle accordingly- even I admit I've fudged on not following the program exactly- but I'd trying an do a little research on it before either knowcking it off or even buying the product. A little knowledge- and not just testimonials- goes a long way.

Here's my take on this "diet", for lack of a better word...
After a month of law school, my grades were up and so was my weight. I was watching the news- ABCNews (you can find the link on youtube) and heard about this program. They had to middle-aged, slightly overweight people try it and it worked: weight AND inches.
Here's the deal: This is a great way to get a booster to start or re-start and exercise and healthy diet regime. I'm 23, female, 5'7, and 136.8 when I started 3 days ago (2 pre-cleanse days of shake in the a.m. healthly lunch, shake in the p.m.). I'm already down 3 lbs! I've never bothered with diet pills or quick-fixes, and this program is basically a step-by-step 9-day deal to jumpstart not only an exercise and adequate hydration routine (20 min a day + at least 8 glasses of water are required), but a real moral booster.
Personally, I'm much more inclined to go to the gym at least 3-4 times a week after I'm done with this program to continue and maintain the weightloss. This is also great for anyone that has reached a plateau or needs extra encouragement to quit bad habits for a bit (there was an article in SELF magazine some months ago about how moderate to heavy drinkers lost 5-8 lbs. just by abstaining for a week).
Now for truth time: I am not following the program as strict as they would like ($300 for a 9 day program does not mean I am willing to shell out another $200 for organic food for every single meal). I am very strict on the water and meal-replacement shakes, but I since I'm very busy with school, I found that Subway has the "mini subs" for kids and a turkey is around 200 cal., which I have a couple spaced out through the say on meal days. Cleansing days are harder, and you have to be very will-powered about them- I've had no "symptoms" some people talk about, but, again, I've been hydrating constantly and keeping an eye on my energy level.
The bottom line is the willpower and the willingness to do something that you're willing to keep doing (exercise and eating right) after the program has ended. Bonus: I've "jumpstarted" with regular exercise and diet in the past, but I've not seen this kind of result in so short of time!
*I'm currently on the Isagenix 9-day program and very happy.

Just got my new wii/started woking out with it and I am SORE SORE SORE today! Is this typical? It's mostly on my right side (right hand is dominate)- how can I make sure I'm getting a good workout on both and how do I prevent this soreness from happening again?

I checked out both the websites to see which was more enticing to buy
Rayman: URL
VS.
Warioware: URL
Hands down, Rayman is the winner I'm going to buy this afternoon! Both look like a good Wii workout, but the graphics are better and it looks more like a game which is why I'm fooling myself into a Wii workout regime in the first place!
Tennis & Boxing are good on the Wii sports package, but the bowling is questionable.
