Is it OK to diet without exercise
Motivation Tips |
Proper nutrtion and diet is better than nothing... as long as you are somewhat active during the day, and have a proper diet, you can lose weight, or maintain a healthy weight without exercise. Sure, it won't happen as fast as if you were but it will still work

Hello from Ryan Mercer
Introduce yourself! |
I work for FedEx as an R&C Analyst. In my spare time I spend a good deal of time reading, I read anything and everything. I also enjoy spending time with my brother and nephew. I have high ambition in life and don't stop untill I get what I want, I'm a leader not a follower, a creator. I thrive on educated conversation about almost anything... I love deep conversations and have a seemingly unlimited amount of things to talk about. I've got places in life that I'm going, can you keep up with me? Can you handle it? Mwahhahahaahah

Quoting: heysuburbia Hey Ryan. This is Mickey. The media is giving me the "Jared" label. I simply put together an experiment for my website, that's all. I support your weight loss efforts using the Wii and would like to become friends. I did not ask for the media attention. I would love to showcase other weight loss cases on my site and in the book. As far as the Wii making video games a physical activity has been talked about since the release of the console, here's an article from May '06 talking about that: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1 191861-3,00.html I simply put my body through the ringer and gathered the data behind the obvious. Hrmm fair enough... you have your before and after photos, check out mine http://ryanmercer.com/weight_loss . Also, note that I am no where near done, just wanted to give people some update as to my status

I just wanted to say that I feel like Mickey DeLorenzo is ripping me off... The Wall Street Journal and Forbes have both done pieces on me, the wall street journal included other people, and Forbes exclusively interviewed me about my weightloss with the Wii. I lost nearly as much in the first 9 days of the wii being out, than Mickey DeLorenzo has in six weeks with the wii... and now HE has a book deal, being trumped as "becoming the next Jared of Subway fame" when Forbes called me "The Jared from Subway of Nintendo" on December 4th 2006... sure, he started his thing on the 3rd, but I did my interview with Forbes on November 28th.
The forbes interview can be found at http://www.forbes.com/video/?video=fvn/business/ms _wii120106 my personal website is http://www.ryanmercer.com |

Work out tip

When the wii first came out, my right shoulder was insanely sore after a few days from playing tons of bowling, and doing the training on bowling over and over.. I quickly learned that switching arms is a good thing

I agree, the boxing can really kick your butt, as I told The Wall Street Journal and Forbes when they did their interview with me. Moving your hands a little does nothing, but really getting into the game, and wow you can end up pretty sore and tired after a half hour of playing.
