Best way to take whey protein?
Diet & Nutrition Tips

I have Jay Robb unflavored ($14/lb bit pricey) and thankfully it goes excellent with just about everything, but mostly for me I add about ½-scoop to cold cereal. Kashi 7 Grain + flax/bran + banana/berries + whey + agave nectar/stevia = quick, sweet, fibery, protein-filled greatness.
Who will Wii?

Whatever console(s) let me play Metal Gears, Resident Evils, Grand Theft Autos, decent racing sims will get my money. Sure not at launch, though! (Ahh $$$!) My PC handles my other faves, FPSs like Half-Life and Battlefield.

The Wii is pretty exciting, though. It's expanding gaming to another level, and capturing the imagination of some great devs so it will not disappoint. Ah, what to choose, I guess we will (finally) see this xMas.

I would say any kind of fad diet like low carb/ high protein would be incomplete nutrition for your body, thus bad for your health long-term. It may take a few pounds off, but most are unsustainable and [as said many times] you will eventually gain them back.

Make a lifestyle change, such as eating fresh/organic, whole foods and reducing - or stopping altogether - intake of processed foods which many times will seem to make you hungrier. (They're EVERYWHERE!) Find a bottled water you like, drink lots, and if needed mix it up a bit with teas and coffees. My health and my weight have benefitted enormously, and it is definitely sustainable and I've had a lot of fun with it.

Hey Aaron,

Right now -and indefinitely- I am on a sort of vegan diet to get me off the American 'processed' toxicity I've consumed for years. It consists of Whole Grains, Vegetables, Water, Fruits and Legumes/Beans and more Water! Really enjoying it all, body and mind feel clean and I am much happier.

For my fruits and vegs I always buy fresh, organic when possible: Tomatoes, squash, yams, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, corn plus blueberries, strawberries, grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, peaches and nectarines. And more. I must admit that I love the taste of fresh anything with nothing added, so that seems to work for me.

You should probably add some legumes/beans and whole grains to your diet, for protein and fiber. These are the two groups I probably fill up on most. (Wheat bread, Raisen bread, Brown rice, organic chips, black beans, red/kidney beans, soybeans, almonds, and tons more.) A fave of mine is Red and Black beans with organic corn and brown rice.

Anyway, I'm sure there's a whole plethora of ideas coming your way. I must recommend VegSource.com, PCRM's downloadable Vegetarian Starter Kit, along with Alex's Great American Detox Diet (of 'Supersize Me' fame). And of course Google/Yahoo! Good Luck, your body will love you!

The site (and many other natural/vegan sites) really goes over-the-top at times, the people start to sound like conspiracists no doubt. I'm just trying to find out what is really going on and what holds truth.

I still think far too many people buy into (or simply give into) the massive amount of BS media/adverts for our tons of processed foods. They are really everywhere and inexpensive, way more so than fresh, basic staple foods like lean meats, fruits and veggies. So at least these kinds of articles question us about what we are really eating.

Thanks for your points of view and laughs, btw!

Hello, I am a fairly new traineo user but have been browsing the forums a bit since I've joined. Anywho, for my first topic and question: Does anyone follow (or have even been to) NewsTarget.com? They make some fairly big claims like many natural news sites, and I'm wondering if any of you traineo users follow their general advice or take any of this seriously?

Some recent debatable topics include: Top ten things food companies keep from you, Red meat doubles colon cancer risk, and last but not least FDA has strong ties to Big Pharma. So, any truth to it all?
