Looks like the bike was travelling around the family room!
We'll see how well hubby deals with the bike in the house when he comes home tonight! I am out of town tonight so I could be banished to the garage when I get home!!!

Yes - Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and London.
A 10 day whirlwind trip - not what I would have picked (nothing to do with the places) as I am accompanying my daughter and 30+ high school students on a school trip. I am not a chaperon (as this was a recent development) so I have been told I can do some things on my own. I would like to actually run in all four cities - am I crazy? I won't take over this thread but when it gets closer and I know details I will be asking a few questions! |

721.15 miles + 4.0 = 725.15 miles! Yes Mike - you have to stop at my "planet" along the way. And Jane I will actually be in London for that wedding as well as a day or two in Amsterdam,Brussels and Paris! Wonder if they've send my invitation yet?

I think Amy made a good suggest - if your company has an employee assistance program you should avail of it. Our parents are our parent - good or bad - you have to deal with it all. It sounds like seeing your mother suffer really bother's you.
We don't mind listening but I don't think we qualify as counsellors. Talking about it with someone who knows what they are doing can help you work through you feelings. And apologize to your boss - tell hime the truth and he'll forgive you!

I think my place is next after Scott's - Port aux Basques, Newfoundland - just a little east of Halifax, NS and the last island (I think) before we cross the atlantic to all you Europeans! So far in 2011 I have walked or ran 24.4 m Total 455.32 m Great idea Mike!!! Now lets see if you can find me on the map - back side of nowhere!

Running: 31.6 km (3:34:29 s) Biking: 0 minutes!! Walking: 7.5 km (1:10:06s) Shovelling: 30 minutes Total: 5:14:35s in 9 days - far from spectacular! Got to get my bike set up on the trainer and get my butt in gear but I'm moving and it could have been less! |

I started a similar discussion last year to track my training for a half marathan. Posting my weekly accomplishment towards the fitness goals I had set helped to keep me accountable so I've set out to do a similar thing here...only the aim is for the whole year!!!!
If anyone would like to join in feel free!! First of all my goals (as identified in Rachael's 2010 Totals discussion thread plus a couple more) are:

Trying something different until I build up my stamina - I found it really hard not to run but...
Treadmill walking 6.62 km in 60 minutes (includes 30 minutes at 5 % incline)! Trying to keep the running to 3-4x/wk! |

Biking: 606.57 km in 33:18:01s Swimming: ~10 km in 4:45:35s Strength: 9:50:00s Total: 172:00:13s This included 2 significant injury periods - 6 weeks in the Spring and 8 weeks in the Fall. I didn't track my walking or other activities...hmmm think I will try to track everything for 2011! Targets for 2011 Remain injury free! Run 1500 km Cycle 1000 km Increase strength training (start regular strength traing!) Try to swim more! @ Sam - it's easy to track when you use a gps to track your activities. |

I start at 168.4 lbs
I am actually pleased with that weight as I have been stable for the last 6 weeks (really the whole of 2010). Now I want to get into the 140s and I am hoping this competition will take into the 150s!

I'm fine... until after dinner

Night time is my biggest challenge as well. Except it's not so much what I eat at the meal...it's the urge to snack in the evening! I find once I'm able to beak the urge I'm fine but I suffer for about a week trying to get through it!
My husband works away half of every month (he left 3 days ago for a 17 day shift). When he is away I find it easier to get on track. I've gotten rid of the chocolate (except for one unopen box that appeared out of nowhere yesterday). Hopefull the scales would show the choclate too much! With Christmas, my birthday (Dec 30) and New Year's day over with, tonight is the night the suffering starts. I will not snack after dinner!!

I'm in and my 5 k start time is 33:46 min - that's what injury and time off does but at least I can still run 5 k!
And Mike my weight will have to wait until morning (when I have nerve to step on the scales ).
