After listening to show #84 I thought we should have a place to post our Declarations of Purposeful Objectives. What have you got?
I will lose 20lbs before my Yosemite backpack trip this June.

Good idea Ken!
I will build muscle tone and lose the last 6.8 stubborn pounds by October 22, 2010.
That will be exactly 3 years since I changed my life style from a very unhealthy to a healthy one. And it will be a total of 45 pounds lost. I will be at my ideal weight for the first time in my life!

I will lose my last 15 lbs and build muscle tone by my 24th birthday this August.

I will:
1) consistently eat between 1800-1950 calories daily
2) eat at least 2 servings of fruit and 2 of veggies daily
3) work out at the gym 3 times per week
4) walk for at least 30 minutes (outside or with a video) on non-gym days
5) lose 20 pounds by my 25th reunion in April (15 weeks away)

I will reach my goal weight of 150 lbs by March 31st, 2010, and then assess to see if I want to lose any more weight.
I will run a 5K all the way through at a 10 minute mile pace in April.
I will run my first 10K by August 31st 2010.

I've written 4 Goals
1) I will be the winner of my office's "Biggest Loser" competition
2) I will be 189 lbs on May 4th, 2010
3) I will do 16 - 20 minutes of cardio daily
4) I will live a lifestyle of a 189 lbs person- by following my menu plan, lifting weights daily (except Sundays) and referring to my goals daily to keep me on track.
Since the 4th I've followed every rule and have lost 10 lbs! 7 of the ten were lost due to a fight with food poisoning but I've not diviated from my meal plan and feel great!

My goals for 2010:
1) I will eat between 1800-2000 calories per day.
2) I will burn 300 calories per day through exercise.
3) I will record my food intake and my daily exercise.
4) I will walk/run a 5K this spring with my nephew.
5) I will be 52 pounds lighter by this time next year.

Some of mine
1. Eat approximately 3000 healthy calories a day.
2. Run at least one race (10K or less) in every season or quarter this year.
3. Run at least 365 miles by the end of the year.
4. Bench Press at least 225 pds (1 set of 10 reps) by the end of the year.
5. Deadlift at least 315 pds (5 sets of 5 reps) by the end of the year.
6. Squat at least 275 pds (5 sets of 5 reps) by the end of the year.
7. Switch workouts every 6 to 8 weeks.
8. Rest and recover for a week prior to starting a new workout.

I will add 1 work out a week for the next 5 weeks to get to 5 days a week working out.

I started the year at about 240 and had two medium / long term goals. The first was to be at 200 by my birthday in September and I'm well on my way at 224. The second was to be 180 by year end. That will make me no longer in the obese category!
After I reach 180 (no longer using the word if) then I will decide my goals for the rest of the journey.
