My weight (and size) fluctuates from year to year, usually within 15 lbs or so. I know it's because I follow a cycle of being active and eating well, and then being not quite as active and not eating quite so well.

It's hard to keep perspective when you're so close to your goal weight, and it's nice to find people who are going through the same thing because nobody who is trying to lose 50 lbs wants to hear about how hard it is for you to lose 5!

Anyone else out there in the same boat?

In the last six months, I've lost 30 pounds and have 20 more pounds to go to reach my goal weight. Like many, I have been to my "ideal" weight several times in my life, but have always regained the lost weight - slowly or quickly.

My weight loss motivators this time have been the DailyBurn web site (http://dailyburn.com/locker_room/honda_insight) and their iPhone apps which have made tracking calories fun and easy. And the Fat 2 Fit Radio Show that advocates changing your lifestyle to that of a thin, healthy person rather than dieting.

As my weight goal is in sight, I have begun to consider how to keep the weight off this time. I've searched the DailyBurn and traineo web sites for groups of people at their goal weight supporting each other, but haven't found any active groups. I've even tried to find people that have reached their goal weight and maintained it for more that a few months. This search also been unsuccessful.

It will be a couple more months before I reach my goal, so I have some time to plan what to do. Spend more time looking for successful support groups? Plan on counting every calorie I eat for the rest of my life? Enjoy being thin for a while as the pounds pile back on my body?

At any rate, this is the one "Sustaining Accomplishment" group I have found, so maybe we can get it off of the ground with folks that are willing to support each other and hold each other accountable to STAY thin?
