I've made my first goal. I've lost 24 pounds, which is a bit more than 10% of my starting weight.

Up next: losing another 12 pounds to take me from obese to overweight.

Congratulations! Pick up one of those 25 lbs weight plates to get a good visual on ho much weight you dropped. That's a bunch. Good luck.

25 weight plates? I'm not sure what those are but I think those are just weights right? that doesn't give a good visual of how much fat that is.. but you'll definitely feel the amount of weight you've been carrying, that you no longer are, yay!!!!

I'm comitting strongly and am a firm believer that I will achieve my goal this time for real! I'm seeing results in weight, it could be fluctuations but the trend is going down so I'm very happy to see that.

Congrats! you can do it!

On my weight loss site, we once packed backpacks with all the weight we had lost and wore them a bit. It's a shocker realizing what your body has been carrying!

Weigh to Go!!! Keep up the good work!!

That's a great visual. I picked up my two 12-pound weights and went in to show my daughter and husband how much weight I've lost. Those are the weights I'm holding in my picture.

In the past, I've thought of fat in terms of 1-pound boxes of butter, trying to guess how much fat I'm carrying on my belly, my hips, my thighs or my derriere. Now I can visualize the 24 boxes of butter that have come OFF my stomach, hips, butt, and thighs.

Sure feels good, dropping that excess poundage.

I like your idea of visualizing the fat as boxes of butter. It seems like that would be very fitting for me!

Well done.

You rock Heather. That is a great achievement! I have done the weight thing to feel how much weight I have gained. Still has a shock value either way. It is amazing and you see why getting up stairs a just a little harder then it use to be. Even an extra 10's zaps a lot out of you or can make you feel soooo much lighter. 25 lbs must feel wonderful. I am proud of you!

Great luck meeting your next goal!
