Does anyone do rebounding as a fitness workout? If so, have you found it useful?

You mean bounding? Like plyometrics?

You know those mini-trampolines? Basically doing diff types of exercises on them like light jumping etc.

I just assume that it's not plyometrics since it's not that high intensity?

= Yes, I do and I've found it to be quite rewarding.

FWIW, after stretching, I start my 60-min workout with alternating minutes of jumping jacks and jogging in place. I then jog in place for 4 minutes before another minute of jumping jacks.

I end with the same five-minute warm-up routine.

I'd eventually like to get back to an hour of walking and maybe alternate rebounding with walking - depending on the weather.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Would you recommend this daily? Right now I've been doing an hour on the elliptical, sometimes adding in the DDR mat as some extra physical activity for cardio. So, I am contemplating how many days a week rebounding would be good for?

Sure, in addition to what you're already doing or in place of it every other day. I think adding variety to our exercise routines keeps us motivated, wouldn't you agree

Check out this website for the benefits.

I have been rebounding since January. Be sure to use a good brand, not the cheap one or you will wind up with a backache. I went from 151 to 128 in 11 weeks. I dieted eating mostly veggies and pasta. I ate whatever I wanted for 2 meals a week (mexican food, steaks, etc.). I rebounded 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. It is the easiest workout because you don't have to sweat, you don't have to breath hard to get a good workout. The added health benefits are awesome. It is a total body workout, I know - my cellulite is GONE and I have abs now. I have maintained 128 since my bday on March 29th. I eat healthy now, but do nto diet (to maintain my weight) I bounce 30 minutes 3 times a week. I have to say it was the fastest, easiest way to lose the weight AND tone up.
