im new to this and really looking to see a difference in the way i look. i go to the gym almost everyday and i eat healthy but i am not sure what else to do.. any advice?!
i have gained this weight due to lack of employment for a year and recently quit smoking. my knees are arthritic so it hurts going up or down stairs but really enjoy walking even that hurts.
Welcome, sorry to hear of your underemployment, but your newfound lack of smoking and enjoying a walk despite pain is great.
I suspect that more walking will build up your tolerance for it, I'm no doctor but from what I know anecdotally artritis is something that is helped by movement of the joints. All that use it or lose it stuff and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger type thinking.
Hi, I'm new here and starting tomorrow I'm starting a exercise/diet plan. I'm doing p90x and I'm trying to stop drinking so much soda and I wanna be vegetarian but need to slowly move from meat eater to vegetarian, so if anyone knows any good healthy vegetarian meals that don't have fish please post them! Thanks!
YES MONICA! Very expensive! And it's really for "getting in the best shape of your life". I have no idea what your fitness level is right now, but if you're not already fairly active and in shape, you would not enjoy it I'm sure. They have a beginner one though made by the same guy. I'm not sure what it's called but if you google pre-p90X, something should come up.
Hey everybody,
I'm brand new to traineo. I was sent here by Suz e. I'm really liking what I'm seeing. Thanks for all the tips and everything.
"If you don't like vegetables, compare how unpleasant it is to eat something you don't like for 5 minutes against the 24-hour-a-day feeling of being overweight." Never thought of it this way. Motivation is up! Thanks guys.
That's why I'm calling myself a "flexitarian"...I don't like meat, the taste, the thought of eating dead flesh, the way animals end up in that pristine package in the supermarket etc.... but somehow fish are different...and so I DO eat fish and a bit of poultry (mainly turkey) now and again because of the easy protein and even (dare I say It???) horse meat...
now before everyone gets disgusted with me about the horse meat, I want to defend myself: horses aren't raised because of their meat like cattle are, they die or are put down because of accidents or old age...and PIGS are just as intelligent, if not more so - contrary to general opinion - as horses. They have more in common with humans, parts of them are used for humans (heart valves...) so if I have to choose I'd rather eat a horse than a pig...
Don't mean to offend anybody and of course it's wishy-washy, my eating habits, what with the fish and all, so please don't attack me...
Gosh, hope I'm not going to be sorry for posting this...
