Meet the Traineo Team
Alasdair McLean-Foreman, CEO / Founder
Alasdair founded traineo whilst running Track and Field at Harvard University. As the previous captain of the Harvard University Track and Field Team who has also represented Great Britain and England at an international level, he brings a wealth of applied knowledge of fitness, training, and exercise to the traineo management team.
Alasdair earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Harvard University and was nominated one of the top entrepreneurs under 25-years old by Business Week Magazine.
Daniel Higginbotham, Chief Technology Officier
Daniel has been developing web sites since 2000 and has experience in front end development, back end programming, and server administration. He is also certified in online marketing.
Outside of work, Daniel is committed to a healthy lifestyle. He regularly takes aikido lessons and recently passed his fifth kyu test.
Jonathan McLean-Foreman, European Director
Jonathan is the Director of European Operations for HDO Group UK Ltd and traineo. He began his career as a graduate electronics engineer with Racal in the UK. Later, he became a freelance design engineer and consultant, creating innovative solutions for the industrial sector. He founded Formac Electronics Ltd where he currently holds the position of Managing Director.
Formac has won contracts to provide industrial I.T. solutions with multi-national corporations including Exxon, Westinghouse, Crowcon and Gardener Denver. Most recently, he has been at the forefront of Formac’s latest developments in remote industrial monitoring, control and mobile solutions via the internet.
Jonathan’s role at Formac and extensive experience in developing technical solutions brings a priceless level of management experience to the traineo team. He is currently based in Bath, England where he directs traineo’s European competitive strategy and operations.
Advisors
James Albertine, Business Development
As the advisor for Business Development & Strategic Partnerships at traineo, Jamie is responsible for developing and executing business expansion initiatives that are aligned with traineo’s growth strategy. Jamie is consistently looked to for his abilities with strategic planning, relationship building, and his pragmatic, solution-based, approach to business.
Jamie was a Senior Analyst in the Global Leveraged Finance Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he advised clients across a broad range of industries in high yield corporate and project finance, leveraged and management buyout transactions. Prior to joining Leveraged Finance, Jamie worked for 2 years in the Global Energy & Power Group, where he specialized in Project Financing, Restructuring and M&A transactions within the Power Utility Industry.
Jamie received his B.A. in Economics from Harvard University, where he was also a member of the Varsity Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field teams, specializing in middle distance (800 - 1500 meters) events.
Devin Lyons-Quirk, Product Strategy
As advisor for Product Strategy at traineo, Devin is responsible for guiding the execution of new concepts, enhancements and ideas at traineo. His experience in the content creation process with web-based applications at HDO Group LLC allows him to bring an exciting level of hands-on management experience to the traineo team. Devin’s team was wholly responsible for the content development for the NYRR Interactive Trainer (www.nyrrtrainer.org) developed exclusively for the ING New York City Marathon.
Devin was a varsity letter winner in Track and Field and Cross Country at Harvard University. He has also worked as a certified EMT in New York City and is training for triathlons and road races.
Devin's worked at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington D.C. and is currently attending Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
Devin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Harvard University.
