Your Calorie Intake Is Too Low

The very first reason why you might find you can’t lose weight is if your calorie intake is too low. Remember, while a low calorie diet will help you lose body fat, if you take those calories too low, your body is going to sense starvation is taking place and may actually slow it’s metabolic rate even further.

If this occurs, all fat loss will come to a halt. A low calorie diet is good, but be conservative. There’s no reason to consume fewer than 10 calories per pound of body weight.

You’re Overdoing Exercise

The second reason why you might find that you can’t lose weight is because you’re overdoing it on the exercise side of things. While exercise is good for fat loss, for some people when their exercise approaches very high volumes, it leaves them feeling ravenous.

If an intense workout program is making you want to eat and not stop, that will definitely put a dent in your fat loss progress.

If you find that you’re always hungry and it’s virtually impossible to control, consider cutting back on your exercise. Very often this will do the trick to help you start losing weight again.

You Aren’t Eating The Right Macronutrients

The third and final reason why you might find that you can’t lose weight is if you aren’t eating the right macronutrients.

Right now it seems like everyone is doing a low carb diet to help increase the rate of fat loss success. But if you’re on a low carb diet and can’t lose weight, it might be time to consider the possibility that low carb dieting just doesn’t work for you.

Some people do not respond well to this approach and when that’s the case, you must do something else.

You can still lose weight perfectly fine on a higher carb approach provided you’re taking in enough protein and your total calorie intake is where it needs to be.

So have a good look at your current diet plan and see if perhaps you need to make some changes. If you can’t lose weight, chances are good that your diet is to blame.
