But don't use it as an excuse to overeat. Feel better.

Reply by Karen Thomas

I'm having the reverse problem in my office. We're downsizing, and due to the emotional response I'm stress eating. Carbs and Fat in every form...It's either that or cry, as I watch people who I've worked with for 5 years pack up desks and offices.

Reply by Shawn W.

Let me know how it goes Bour.

It was an interesting diet. Just can't see plunkin down 700$+ for their stuff for it.

I'd almost try the metabolic choco drive just to see how bad they can be... was a point where I was eating tuna, eggs, milk & protein shakes in the office every day. Funny thing was my visitor count went down real low....

Reply by Bourblaster V

Shawn, I just started my own modified V-diet as well. I substitute 4 out of 5 meals for the metabolic drive/flaxseed shake, and dinner with my wife is my solid food meal.

I am giving it a shot mainly to keep my 4 of 5 meals ironclad and brainless in terms of nutrient ratio and calorie intake, rather than to maintain lower calories since I am still trying to add mass. I'd rather add it the right way, and I see the V-diet as a more effective way of keeping it in line.

I'll make ...

Reply by Gabby P.

Oh definitely!
I've never been able to understand the people who say they're too busy and stressed to eat healthy. Please understand I'm not downplaying their dilemma, only saying that it is not one that personally affects me.

I study 9 months of the year and work full time the 3 months i have off. I lose weight immediately and effortlessly when im busy.. but when i have only 15hrs a week of uni and hours spent alone reading... the weight comes right back on!...

Reply by Aaron Freeman

I've been there. I usually just say that I eat. If I get tempted for donuts, I whip out a peanut butter granola bar.. yum. Because I haven't had fried food, fast food, or things like donuts.. they make me sick now just looking at them let alone eating them.

I can relate to Cindy N to a degree about gaining weight when you go back to work. However, my case isn't due to stress from having work to do, but instead boredom....

Reply by Gabby P.

The worst thing i found is that my co-workers went out of their way to make me feel guilty for not eating!

At least twice a week there was a birthday or promotion cake etc
And the nagging would not stop =S

I forced myself to eat it just to not seem like an outcast while everyone else was stuffing their faces and asking what was wrong with me haha...

Reply by Lori cain

Donuts really give me little satisfaction, even the temporary kind like ice cream and chocolate does...donuts just give me no bang for the calorie buck...lol, know what I mean? They just aren't worth it!

Reply by Cindy N

When I came back to my job as a regular, I gained 30 lbs. over 6 months because of all the food that is available and the stress that would drive me to eat. Unlike you, I did not say no. Now I'm paying for it! Going to do it for 3 weeks maybe 4 we'll see.

Show up to work today.... donuts... fresh, hot donuts... glazed, chocolate covered.... and best of all the table is near the door to my office so the heavenly scent lingers around me all morning long...

Thankfully i'm not as weak as richard simmons, nor as likely to wear that outfit, and have not succumbed to the temptations outside of my wall.
