I have no problem maintaining my weight. That is what I have been doing for the last 6 months. Eating healthy and working out. The problem is, is that I was unable to cut my calories enough to actually drop weight. I am good with the maintaining aspect but needed a drastic change to get the weight loss moving in the right direction....

Reply by Kristie Mitchell

Good luck, Rob. I'm starting my "life change" today, also. I refuse to call it a diet because diets don't work for me. A few years ago I went on a diet and lost 50lbs. Now I've gained it back. This time I'm working on changing life to a healthy well balanced life. I wish you the best and look forward to seeing your succeed....

Reply by Rachael M

Rob, as you get more into the healthy life style, the hope is that it becomes more 2nd nature to you and you consider the healthiness to be "normal." That is something that I am definitely working on. This is the 3rd battle of the bulge (as I've heard it called on here) for me and both previous times I lost the weight slowly and in a very healthy manner. And then went back to "normal" eating which was basically pigging out. So good luck to both of us on our journey t...

Reply by Stand Up Bean

rob, have you started working on your plan for when you transition this diet into a lifestyle? or is this diet something you could stay on for the rest of your life without health risks?

So so true. Continuing to eat properly to maintain your weight is such a bore, isn't it? Alas, that's what you've got to do to keep it off!

Good luck on your diet and keep us updated....

Reply by R Montgomery

I lost 60 pounds on it the last time. I understand that there is no substitute for eating healthy and exercising. I still eat 1600 to 2000 calories a day on this diet and exercise.

I did gain the weight back last time but that was 100% my fault. Any diet you go on, if when you are done you go back to your old ways, well then that is all your fault. I think its kind of like 'Slim Fast' - you drink shakes for breakfast and lunch and then have a 'normal' dinner. You also take a load of supplements...

That's the extent of my knowledge on it... I have to say though - maybe people would be better off just eating a balanced diet? The people I know who did it lost a few pounds but then it levelled off - most of them have stopped now because...

Reply by Rachael M

Hey, welcome to Traineo Rob! I had a lot of success with this in the past and am excited to see the same kind of results this time around. My products arrived yesterday in the mail so I began my plan today with a starting weight of 263.0 lbs. My ultimate goal would be 200 lbs or less. I look forward to this journey and hope to become an active member on the site....
