Have any of you tried the Isagenix Cleansing Program? I saw a fast 9 day or a 30 day program. Which do you all think is better. Cleansing or portion control?

Hi, AZchica Chick
I tried the 9 day, with a follow-up, or maintenance program. It helped me lose over 10% of my body weight. I've kept it off, too.
The big surprise for me was the tremendous energy boost I got. It opened my eyes to how lousy I was feeling before...and didn't even know it.
I found the information I needed through www.cleanseenergy.com.
Portion control is important, but it does nothing to cleanse you, nor give you nutrients that you may not be getting with your current diet. Eat more or less of the same thing, and you may be missing the same nutrients either way. Everything I read says that our food supply is seriously lacking in nutrient value, so I supplement my diet. I realized how important that is when I got that great energy boost during my cleanse. Higher energy levels also helps you get to the gym or even out for brisk walks at the end of your day.
I would recommend it to anyone. Hope this helps, AZC

I've always been bigger. Maybe not classified as being fat because I carry it pretty well. But, well, I'm fat. There's no fooling myself. In January, months of hard work paid off as my wife got pregnant with what will be our first child. I had been exercising a bit until that point, but I decided to ramp it up a notch and get my weight to where I can be healthy and be around a long time for my wife and kid.
I've been known to drop 40-50 pounds in 5 months or so on a few occasions, only to slowly gain that weight back over a couple years. This time is different. I know everybody says that and usually that statement doesn't come to fruit, but I've got that incentive...becoming a daddy.
Got a blog rolling- rokandroll.blogspot.com
I post on it a few times a week. Mostly fitness stuff. I try to be somewhat humorous. Check it out if you're REALLY bored.

There's another post going, so I hope this doesn't get ugly for you. To preface, I am an associate of Isagenix, but I'll try to give you my honest take. The products aren't for everyone (because of cost), but I personally have seen them work and love the nutritional content. If you have a pretty good handle on your eating habits, I'd recommend the 9 day. If you need help getting used to eating healthy on a continuous basis, and can afford it, the 30 day would be better for you. You only cleanse one day per week vs. 2 days in a row twice with the 9 day. There's a great site to guide you along with email updates at isadiary.com. Best of luck to you.

I am the biggest skeptic there is but I tried Isagenix the first time in late 2006 after a friend lost 50lbs and her husband 40ish. I lost 28 pounds in 2 months and that is not following the plan 100%. I had a few cheat days and snacked quite a bit. I had no interest in selling. For me it was a good kick start. It forced me to plan my meals and motivated me to exercise more. The shakes actually taste good. The cleanse days are tough but you reap rewards afterwards.
By summer 2007 I was only drinking the shakes after a morning workout and not watching what I was eating otherwise. By Dec 2007 I completely stopped Isagenix and could not workout for various reasons. I have since gained about 18 pounds back. I just started back on Isagenix last week to jump start my weight loss again on hopes of losing 25 pounds. I found this website when I was looking for some motivational materials and thought I would give everyone my experience.
