Dave,

Do you mean how much (quantity) or the actual liquid?

Ever see Jackass: The Movie?

quantity. I've seen several minutes of the TV show and I'm quite sure I would not tolerate the movie too well

Hi, I'm a newbie, and an advocate of healthy living, and of Isagenix. Here's my two sense (I'm a personal trainer to preface): The products are not necessary to live a healthy lifestyle, but can help those in need. I've worked for GNC, and taken many supplements over the past decade, and the only reason I rep Isagenix is because the products used are all natural, no fillers or artificial sweeteners. The cleanse does work, but shouldn't be confused with a colon cleanse. I've done it twice personally, and my bf% decreased both times, but didn't seem to lose any muscle, which is important as I aspire to be a natural bodybuilder. Many users do feel more energetic after using the products, and I really haven't found many MRP shakes that have a better nutritional makeup.
With that said, I always let people know that if they think this is a quick fix, then don't waste their time. This product should be used to help make a lifestyle change. Whether it's continuing to use the shakes as a part of a nutritional plan, or eating smaller, healthier meals on a regular basis, this must be the goal. If you need to lose weight, obviously your diet has been off to some degree (I know a lot of people who lift and do cardio like madmen, but never lose weight). Anyone who knows a lick about exercise and nutrition should agree that what and how much you put into your body is responsible for about 85% of your success or failure. Isagenix does work, as does Bill Phillips' Body for Life (great eating habit advice for beginners), I recommend Dr. Natura's Colonix if you want a great colon cleanse (great info on that website drnatura.com).
Sorry for the length of my first post, but I hope it helps dispel some of the hostility I've seen - and if you're an Isagenix rep, please don't "sell" people on a product that doesn't need selling. Just tell your story and about your successes, and those interested will find a way to learn about the products on their own.

Thanks Scott, I think everyone appreciates a reasonable opinion on the product without trying to sell it; bonus points for not throwing in a link to a rep site!

One thing I've wondered about is that it seems a fairly universal belief, among the healthy living/natural body building crowd, that your body is best at cleansing itself. This implies that a lot of the cleansing products and procedures available are little more than scams, and can sometimes interrupt your body's natural process. Do you have any information that might clear some of this up? It should go without saying, but I'm definitely not asking for marketing materials!

hey guys! hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy on this eat til you puke weekend!
wanted to post a quick update on my progress. this week was pretty brutal for a couple of reasons - work was insanely busy and i was pms'ng MAJOR. i worked out every day (except today) and ate really healthy (with my shakes and one meal per day and tons of water), but yesterday i fell off the wagon and ate a cinnamon chip scone (510 calories - ouch) a turkey, ham, avocado, and jack chee sandwich from starbucks, and a couple of crown royals last night. i was feeling pretty shitty last night, so today i was really, really good.
i went to my mom's last night and she was like, 'wow, you lost so much weight! you look so good!' and i was like, 'hmmm, you noticed?' 'cuz i haven't seen her in like a month - so i guess that was good. i guess i have to get a new scale b/c the one i have says i haven't lost any weight (i know we've talked about this before), but i'm feeling muuuuuch better and lighter, and my clothes are all fitting muuuuuuch better.
anyhoo, i hope everyone is doing awesome and i'm looking forward to reading everyone's updates!
happy easter!

Dave....

The body does cleanse it's self natualy and effectively when you are in your twenties, however when you hit your thirties...thats a whole diffrent story. You matoblic rate slows down rapidly, belly fat increases, and some guys run into ED proplems.

The Isagenix system is designed to bring your system back on line...reboot it if you will. Its main purpose is to rid your body of toxins that it can no longer do on its own.
Even though you change the oil in your car, there is still engine plack that can't be removed, with out a rebuild.
This is what Isagenix does through out your entire body. The results are awesome, more energy, mental clarity, and yes...weight loss.

I hate to bash body builders (not really) but...they are some of the MOST unhealth people on the planet! They use all kinds of harmful drugs, diuretics, and really...most don't have a clue when it comes to healthy living. P.S....the tanning is redickulous! (That's not harmful at all)
So Dave...I guess what i'm saying here is...I wouldn't hire a Priest to throw a bachlor party...know what I mean! LOL!

Heather....Great job...you are entitled to get your drink on when needed.
It helps keep you sane and crown royal is great with Armenian pepperoni!
You should try it...you might like it! Oh and I agree....you do need a new scale...Bed bath and Beyond is having an Easter sale!

Happy Easter everyone!

thank you for the suggestion, however, as i told you before i'm a vegetarian, so pepperoni is out of the question. i do, however, enjoy my crown royal with a handful of almonds, cashews, or other nuts.

Dave- I personally don't think think the body can keep up with the crap that goes into it these days. Yes the liver and kidneys filter stuff out, but only so much. I'm a firm believer that much of the fat and excess water we store is due to toxins in our system. I get asked about colon cleanses a lot, and here's my suggestion to them: use a 9 or 30 day cleanse from isagenix to get your system cleaned out, and then get Dr. Natura's Colonix product and use it for 30-90 days (if you haven't, you have to check out drnatura.com and see the testimonial pictures, I've seen it all come out of me - scary what's inside your body) to completely flush your body.
As for bodybuilders, many are actually some of the healthiest people you've ever met. Yes there are a lot of juice heads, but natural bodybuilders eat very clean and respect what they put into their body. Some supplements I recommend, others are crap, and some only seem to work for certain bodytypes. It's a real crap shoot. Have a great weekend everybody

Heather - That is wonderful to hear! I am glad you are doing so well! Keep up the great work. I would definately try getting a new scale... Just be prepared to that when you get a new one it may not show a weight you are expecting (although hopefully its much lower!) But if your scale was broken you may not know when it in fact first broke. Anywho, Congrats! Sounds like you are doing wonderfully!

thanks linaeve! i'm trying, but as we all know it can sometimes be an uphill battle - lol - today, for instance, my son's friend's mom gave me a loaf (fresh and warm from the oven) of banana nut bread - my FAVORITE. what did i do? got in the car and ate the entire top off of it! i got my period yesterday so, needless to say, i'm on a carb mission. i'm gonna work out tonight and try to redeem myself, but damn! lol!
also, i came across you on another thread about not feeling too good - i wanted to write you there, but got distracted and ended up logging off. are you doing better? hope so. keep your chin up!

Hey all, hope everyone is having a great week so far. Just saw a new video that kind of sums up isagenix's view towards better health. Be forewarned, there is some "sales pitch" inuendo to it (again, that's not my intention, I'm just about informing people who want info), but overall I liked the message that it gives and it explains how the products work and can be used in an overall healthy lifestyle. It's about 6 or 7 minutes long at www.cleansedforlife.com

Warning: Totally Off Topic!

Quoting: Linaeve
Go back and check the constitution before you quote it...

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

I don't think peoples opinion on weight loss is included in that.

Sorry, it just bugs me when people quote "Freedom of Speech" for everything when it in fact does NOT include everything.. Off topic but still felt a need to mention it.

BULL$H1T and I didn't QUOTE IT. I made refernce to it. I've quoted you above and Wikipedia below.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech:

Freedom of speech is the concept of being able to speak freely without censorship. The right to freedom of speech is guaranteed under international law through numerous human-rights instruments, notably under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights, although implementation remains lacking in many countries. The synonymous term freedom of expression is sometimes preferred, since the right is not confined to verbal speech but is understood to protect any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used.

In practice, the right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country, although the degree of freedom varies greatly. Industrialized countries also have varying approaches to balance freedom with order. For instance, the United States First Amendment theoretically grants absolute freedom, placing the burden upon the state to demonstrate when (if) a limitation of this freedom is necessary. In almost all liberal democracies, it is generally recognized that restrictions should be the exception and free expression the rule; nevertheless, compliance with this principle is often lacking.

We may have started out coming here fro Freedom of Religion, but the Constitution is about so much more.

On a more personal note, are you just plain mean in general? This is the first Forum I've ever found that has so much NEGATIVE ENERGY in it by so many people. It may have activity and posts and may be entertainment for may of you, but how sad is that?

ISAGENIX
high fiber diet.....make sure, if you do start it, you know they just want you as their sales associate. you buy and sell the stuff for the company (go to their website).
you are automatically charged a membership fee and are autoshipped and auto charged each month, You have to cancel.they say they do not accept returns, but they do, they just charge you additional to do so , 10% re-stocking fee. 13$US for membership (WTF??) and shipping....can you say rip-off!!
please do your homework before dealing with this company. The credit card company i deal with actually knew of this problem...that is saying something.

I ran into a friend I hadn't seen in 2 months. She looked great having lost 25 lbs. She told me about Isagenix. I tried it, lost 16 lbs. in a month and introduced it to my ex husband. Ex started the 30 day program and lost 33 lbs. that month. Did another 30 day and is now down 46 lbs. His sales manager has now lost 42 lbs. Ex has kept this off for a year now after many years trying all kinds of diets. The psoriasis on his hands and arms went away too. He swears its the Isagenix because of the cleansing that helps flush the impurities out of blood, organs, skin, etc. (And it sure beats what Demi Moore is doing with leeches to suck her blood of toxins!!!)I now drink about 1 shake a day, cleanse every other week for a day with LOTS of purified water and the new dark Isagenix chocolates you can eat on cleanse days - boy does that help!! My friend who lost the weight convinced me to start buying wholesale ($36 for a year if you sign up for autoship which you can change 24/7) Well, I did it and others saw our progress so I signed a couple up and now make enough money to pay for my monthly products. IT WORKS FOR ME!!! You know what? - wholesale the 30 day is $249 - not the $349 that some of you guys have been buying from people who are not your friends!!! My friend showed me how to buy wholesale - and it comes with the website for free and if you want to buy wholesale too, go check it out! www.healthyresults4life.isagenix.com
I eat less because the morning shake keeps me going for hours until lunch. Sometimes I do a shake for dinner and it totally cuts my appetite so I don't eat snacks when I watch tv.

Just a friendly reminder. I have yet to hear anything further than biased anecdotal evidence about the efficacy of these products. I was hoping for something more.

This thread should have been dead by now...

Observation: The proponents of Isagenix are mostly newbies. Meaning someone might be creating additional fake accounts. In fact, I bet this is the case since most of them have no info on their profiles besides a picture.

Chris...I thought you would be dead by now. LOL
Why are you on this thred again, anyway? I read your LAME work out, cry baby posts.(i'm so sore! whaaaaa!) My 8 year old daughter can squat more than you. Maybe you should look into getting some supliments that really work.(isagenix)

Dave....That's a hoot....you say that this thred is bias! I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that its an ISAGENIX thred! What more are you looking for? I will be glad to get more in depth, if you would acually ask some questions.

What would you like to see/hear Dave? Try www.weightlosshalloffame.net for testimonials (hundreds of them) with before and after pictures(it's a non-affiliated isagenix site - ie: not affixed to a certain associate). It's categorized by male, female, and athletes (those that use it for the good nutrition). If you want something else, just ask.

I. Kjoker, I'm sorry if someone said that you had to sign up as an associate, because that's false, as is having to get autoship. Many people purchase the products retail to start and that's it, others get into the business later if they choose, and some just jump right in.

Kathy, as I've told others, don't put your website on here as it instantly discredits you (people think you're only here to sell it).

Chris, I don't have all my info in yet, but if you want to know about me and my credentials, visit www.halsptw.com which is my personal training business site, not my isagenix site.

As Bourblaster mentioned earlier.. Welcome to the internet. I actually am not a mean person at all. I have a good heart. I was just calling you on a mistake you made. Note.. I didn't read any of your jumble about the constitution. I've read it studied it and I wont argue with someone about it. If you think your right anything I say wont change that.

The only thing about this thread for me... I am actually interested in peoples opinions on the subject, but if I see a website posted, I skip right over it. Share your thoughts and testimonials but don't try to sell your stuff.

Now, Who wants a drink?! I got a fresh bottle of Patron this weekend!

*dances around the thread*

Are we back on the constitution AGAIN!?!
Let it go...who care about some whinny cry baby, talkin about negative energy. I thought that was a joke or Chris H, using a "new" screen name.

Anyway...back to Isagenix...

I agree with Dave, there are NO facts being discussed on this thred and quite frankly most of you ISA heads are full of shit! A majority of you are ONLY here to sell products....that is an insult to the athletes that use this site to promote their traing programs.

Bour....is that picture new? Dude, I can't believe that you were talkin smack on me....(looking in gym bag) I think I found you some traps...LMAO!

there was a comment made about 6 months ago in this thread about a "money back guarantee" for the isagenix MLM scheme. unfortunately, that was the line that convinced me to join a different MLM scheme several years ago.

i know this is going to be hard for you to believe, but the MLM scheme didn't work out and i went to the guy who "screwed me into it", i mean, "sponsored me" to get my money back. much to my surprise, there was fine print that i wasn't made aware of and i never received my money back.

the nutritional theories of isagenix are sound, but i would have a hard time justifying the cost. ALL MLM schemes inflate the price of their products so 50 different people can make money off of one sale.

i agree with what several of you have already said - take in fewer calories + burn more calories = loose wieght. how can something so simple, be so difficult!

Mr.Rosenturd...

First of all...shame on you for not reading the small print. Don't judge all
MLMing companies by an error in due dilagence on YOUR part.

Secondly...if you can't afford it...than don't order it. WOW wahat a concept!

Thirdly...Your siplification of how to get fit resonates of stupid. Everyone knows that formula and it doesn't work if you intend to keep lean muscle mass. Isagenix is a COMPLETE system, that doesn't starve your system and in turn avoids caniblizing your muscles.
