The reason Isagenix nutritional products work is that they address head on the deficiencies in our diets today. Their program is more about getting the body healthy enough to digest and process food and nutrients than about the superficial "losing of weight". Basically, by doing a 9 or 30 day cleanse every 3 to 6 months, you're eliminating many of the toxins that are currently in your system (those that your kidneys and liver can't take care of naturally). After doing this, you'll most likely find (as I did) that your other supplements are being absorbed better, hence getting more for your $100/month. True that. I agree with you about the selling nonsense. This is a thred for people who USE Isagenix and should be used as a support tool ONLY.

We (Isagenix) users, however are being lambasted on the regular for the few that are here to "sell" it. I also see your point about throwing out the junk food as well...that is all part of this system. It is designed to get people healthy and to detoxify your body.
The primary function is not weight loss.

1. your cleanse will go alot easier

But I found this Thread when I googled "The Genie Diet", as I've already bought many books, I wanted to find out what the word on the net was/is. I think this site and the debate is GREAT!

Why did I google it? Heather one of the best things about what's happening to you is that you aren't losing muscle! Isagenix is formulated to maintain your muscle and that will contribute to loss of inches, not "weight" per say.

That's the main reason I started on it, I want to maintain lean muscle while reducing my body fat percentage....

Reply by smile by design

Sorry, I really have very little of greater value to contribute to this thread, I just couldn't resist posting that.

I hope the Isagenix thing works out for ya, Heather. As far as your 'pounds not showing on the scale' thing...personally, my preference is to lose the inches and change my body shape, and I could care less about the actual weight (within reason - obviously it wouldn't do for me to lose all of my muscle and hang on to the fat!)...so I would be heartened,...

Reply by Saved by Kane

I love it too!

Exercise to get in shape. I approve, but, according to your picture I don't think you need to loose any weight.

Second, Dave, right on the money with the $1 cheesburger and 2 x $1 apple pies, lol, and we can add a 0.99 fries and 0.99 frosty also.

Third, Slim fast, $17 bucks online probably cheaper at Walmart. Will last you a couple of weeks. I'm working on mine too, now that I have joined the Y. I guess that I could do it without spending any money, but it would be tough. I'm exercising muscles that I had never heard of before. I could buy the equipment and do my running on the street, but I'd probably skip the cold rainy days. I'm not ashamed to admit that I have never worked out in a gym before and I'm getting some education from a trainer.

There's absolutely no way you should have to spend money to get fit. If you're not losing weight with a healthy diet and normal exercise then you're ignorant of what a healthy diet and good exercise is. That's nothing to be ashamed about, but you do need to educate yourself.

If spending money on a program motivates, then by all means, go ahead and spend it, I won't judge and I understand, it's just not a necessity....

Reply by Kimberly Erman

I have been using Isagenix for 3 months now, and I love it. When a friend told me about it and I watched the video, it REALLY made sense. To me, Isagenix was the missing link that I had been looking for. It wasnt about what I was eating, it was about what my body was missing. I dropped 9 pounds in 23 days, all I could say was WOW!!! I had never dropped weight like that before ever. My skin is softer from this product, it helped get rid of some cellulite, I used to feel so tired at the end ...

Reply by Dave Nicholson

Rick, seriously... cheaper than fast food?

But that aside, why would you compare the two? Is that the alternative? Use Isagenix, or eat fast food and DIE. Do the marketing materials for this organization presume everyone is an idiot, or just us? Do you think there is anyone here saying "Hey, I can replace my diet that consists mainly of fast food with the Isagenix diet!" - I really don't think so.

I had a martial arts instructor that always told me to charge more than i needed to when arranging seminars etc. Because people believe they are getting what they pay for.

So my advice above is free, and no one will pay it any attention, if i box it up and sell it for 50 bucks then a few folk will buy it out of curiousity, if I sell it for $200 then people will buy it and follow it, because at $200 it must be quite good.

Then, do your due diligence, and also think about why so many new folk, with just a few posts to their name, appear from nowhere to flock in support of the product. There are some folk out there who are truly convinced, and others who are just googling the word to find a forum such as this to join and hype the product. ...

Reply by Rick Hampton

We DO promote a change in lifestyle... getting exercise, drinking lots of water and eating healthier. Be more active + eat less calories = weight loss and weight maintenance.

I can't imagine Isagenix working as a long term solution. Whoever uses the product will certainly need to adjust their lifestyle or they will gain it all back or more once they are done with the program....

Reply by Dan Jones

Here we go again...
