I am always out doing something fun. I play Hockey, Racquetball and Paintball to keep me busy. I have been spending a good amount of time at the gym. I hope to keep on doing what I do and reach my goal!

I would not do it that all I know. What else is he going to to beside take that? Is he going to eat better or work out?
I take Xyience Xelerate.
I was on off it for a month. I think the bigest thing I noticed was it gave me some extra pep. I am down 25lbs with it but I have no idea if that has helped since I send a lot of time at the gym.
I would look at something else...

19 June 2007: THE PLATEAU FROM HELL! Bwah-ha-haaa!
Eating regimen: "YOU on a Diet" from Drs. Roizen and Oz at RealAge.com. IT WORKS.
"Fat and miserable," sums up my present condition. I am a mother and grandmother, a teacher, and a volunteer. I am also a survivor of childhood sexual abuse living with a mood disorder and PTSD, now learning to stop using food as a drug. With all my being, I want to be under 200lbs by my fourtieth birthday, 10 December 2007. I pray God will give me the strength to meet my goal and find greater emotional peace. Living in a near-300lb body is like living in a hellish prison. I am tired of feeling ugly and undeserving. Here's hoping I become addicted to the endorphins produced during exercise, instead of being addicted to pizza and sweetened cereal! And maybe, if it is His will, I will one day be married again...happily and without fear of being hurt.

Interestingly, I looked into the Isagenix issue myself yesterday. It seems a lot of money and hype for what is essentially a high-fiber high-protein product.
I've decided to take a teaspoon of ground flax every day in addition to my usual supplements and be done with it. In the final analysis, weight loss is very simple:
FEWER CALORIES + MORE EXERCISE = WEIGHT LOSS
Everything else is hype.
If I were your sister, I'd be worried for our brother, LOL, principally for the big hit he is taking to his wallet. A one-month supply of Isagenix products is more than $350 USD!!! Outrageous!

Thanks Nate and Britt for your insight.
That 350 could be spent on a gym membership. I know they were introduced to it by a friend who is following the program.(and probably selling it too). All over the net you can read success stories and raves about the product. I'm weary of those kinds of things because theya re easily simple marketing ploy websites to help promote the vendor.
When he first explained it to me...it did sound like a high fiber and high protein diet. The fact the word diet in there makes me cringe. I've managed to lose and maintain my weight for over 5 years now and the only way to accomplish that was to change my lifestyle completely without really introducing anything new except exercise. I really Just took out stuff i didnt need. It actually made my wallet heavier. Go figure.
Like you said "fewer calories" + more excercise = weight loss.
Now if only "healthy Mentality" could be included in that equation.

Hi,
I've lost 15 lbs using Isagenix. It helps you eat fewer calories because it takes good and provides a plethora of nutrition in a small serving. It is pricey, but if you actually skip meals and eat Isagenix instead it isn't really that expensive. If someone is interested in the product, you can e-mail me.

If you buy the 30 day program, do they give you everything you need to do the 9-day 3 times? I know the math works, but the pricing doesn't make sense to buy 9-day so I wondered if it has everyhing you need.

I started with an Isagenix cleansing program in March 2007 and I lost 25 pounds and 5 inches in my waist in less than two months. Now I am trying to exercise a little more and tone up. You can find out more about Isagenix at http://rickhampton.isagenix.com or at http://gocleanse.com/rickhampton

There are 3 Isagenix cleansing programs available.
The two that help you to lose weight are the 9-day and the 30-day programs. Both of them are made up of Shake days and Cleanse days. On the Shake days, you drink an IsaLean Shake for breakfast and dinner. For lunch, you eat a low (400-600) calorie meal. On the Cleanse days, you drink 4 ounces of Cleanse For Life four times a day and you eat Isagenix Snacks in between.
There are 4 Cleanse days on the 9-Day Program and there are 4 Cleanse days on the 30-day program. The 9-day is more of an intensive program for a quick jump start to weight loss. I lost 10 pounds on the 9-Day program and never felt better in my life. The average is 7 pounds, so I did better than some, but others have done much better. One friend of mine cheated on the 9-day and still lost 13 pounds.
When you achieve your desired body weight, you use the Total Health and Wellness program to maintain your weight. That's what I am on now, however, if I indulge and gain a few pounds, I will do two shakes a day for a couple of days and I will be back to my desired weight.
As far as price goes, it isn't at all expensive. You can buy retail or pay an annual fee to buy wholesale. To get started, with the annual fee and a 9-day program, you will spend around $180... but you are replacing 26 meals. That means that you are eating for less than $7 per meal. The 30-day is even less expensive per meal... and your second purchase will bring the cost per meal down to $5 or $6.
I have a comparison sheet that details the differences. If anybody would like a copy, just send me an email.

Just a note to anyone that isn't aware: Isagenix uses multi-level marketing to promote its products. So the two posts before mine, both of which were the users' first posts, are likely thinly-veiled sales pitches. Those users probably search daily for the word "Isagenix," and they rush to add their 2 cents whenever it pops up online--because they hope to personally profit.
Also, I am not sure to whom the quoted price (less than $7 per meal) is a good deal. If you are cooking for yourself, you can probably eat fairly healthily for $3 to $4 per meal.
As others have said, tell your brother stick to real food and more exercise. Occasionally paying a premium for convenience is acceptable, but paying a huge premium to subsidize a company's marketing is silly.

I'm a 26 year old grad student and gamer dork. I've been struggling with my weight on and off since college. I've tried several different diets, and I always found they worked in the short term but not in the long term. I find exercise makes me feel healthier but really doesn't help to control my weight (at least the amount of exercise I can fit into my schedule). I was 30 pounds heavier than I have ever been when I started trying to bring it under control again and have lost 20 pounds since I began dieting before I joined up here. I think I've found something I can actually sustain, but we'll see.

Well, it doesn't sound like this stuff is going to hurt him (other than his bank account), and some people find it easier to change their lifestyle with the structure provided by a commercial plan and prepared diet foods and then a gradual change to normal foods in healthy amounts. If it doesn't help him to change his lifestyle, then he'll probably gain the weight back but that's true of any change one finds one can't actually stick with. In that case he may turn to you for advice if you haven't alientated him by poo-pooing this initial attempt at weight loss. If it does help him change his lifestyle, than great. There are certainly cheaper ways to lose weight, but who cares if it actually works for him?

I'm not sure why you guys are paying out on isagenix. the company has such a noble and worthy cause! improving the health of the world. Now even though some people may come on the forum and say that it works or give info on how it works doesnt mean they are greedy or just making a sales pitch to suck people in. It's probably one of the things most humans need to be made aware of and thats nutritional cleansing. So well done to the guys and girls actually involved in a company like this, The product does actually work i have friends thats have lost 6-10kgs within 9 days to a month so if it helps some people then im glad. i dont need to lose weight i need to put muscle on so it will be interesting to see what it does for me but ive seen "the sneaky fake sales pitch" by some boby builders who it has worked for so im optomistic about it. And also isagenix is not a diet its a lifestyle change...you dont stop using it. oh a guess what, you get healthy too, losing weight doesnt make you healthy, being healthy makes you lose weight. I can tell u i used to smoke and drink and take drugs and my body looks great but i wasnt healthy.
isagenix hasnt launched in australia where i am from so im not some guy trying to get you to join with me.

Here's my take on this "diet", for lack of a better word...
After a month of law school, my grades were up and so was my weight. I was watching the news- ABCNews (you can find the link on youtube) and heard about this program. They had to middle-aged, slightly overweight people try it and it worked: weight AND inches.
Here's the deal: This is a great way to get a booster to start or re-start and exercise and healthy diet regime. I'm 23, female, 5'7, and 136.8 when I started 3 days ago (2 pre-cleanse days of shake in the a.m. healthly lunch, shake in the p.m.). I'm already down 3 lbs! I've never bothered with diet pills or quick-fixes, and this program is basically a step-by-step 9-day deal to jumpstart not only an exercise and adequate hydration routine (20 min a day + at least 8 glasses of water are required), but a real moral booster.
Personally, I'm much more inclined to go to the gym at least 3-4 times a week after I'm done with this program to continue and maintain the weightloss. This is also great for anyone that has reached a plateau or needs extra encouragement to quit bad habits for a bit (there was an article in SELF magazine some months ago about how moderate to heavy drinkers lost 5-8 lbs. just by abstaining for a week).
Now for truth time: I am not following the program as strict as they would like ($300 for a 9 day program does not mean I am willing to shell out another $200 for organic food for every single meal). I am very strict on the water and meal-replacement shakes, but I since I'm very busy with school, I found that Subway has the "mini subs" for kids and a turkey is around 200 cal., which I have a couple spaced out through the say on meal days. Cleansing days are harder, and you have to be very will-powered about them- I've had no "symptoms" some people talk about, but, again, I've been hydrating constantly and keeping an eye on my energy level.
The bottom line is the willpower and the willingness to do something that you're willing to keep doing (exercise and eating right) after the program has ended. Bonus: I've "jumpstarted" with regular exercise and diet in the past, but I've not seen this kind of result in so short of time!
*I'm currently on the Isagenix 9-day program and very happy.

By the way, I don't sell and have never sold isagenix. Maybe people whom have had problems with the 9-day didn't adjust their lifestyle accordingly- even I admit I've fudged on not following the program exactly- but I'd trying an do a little research on it before either knowcking it off or even buying the product. A little knowledge- and not just testimonials- goes a long way.

ya I lost weight on it as well, just very expensive. $164 for the 9 day cleanse , and nearly $200 when shipping, and tax were added. I lost like 6lbs in the first 2 days..but mainly water, I ebed up losing 14lbs in 9 days on it.
I am trying The Genie Cleanse Diet as I read it's very similar to Isagenix, but without the product. You have to go out to the store and grab the ingrediants. But I downloaded the plan, and it was only 27 bucks..its a 10 day cleanse with ginger, lemon..etc.. I have heard some good things about it so far...
I will update you regarding my success on it.

Hi, I just joined this sight because of this forum. Look, I spent 4 years in the Army, when I got out I became a personal trainer for a year at 24 hour fitness in Palms Springs, CA. Then I joined the Air Force as a computer programmer (getting a degree in Computer science and minor biology) and have 2 additional duties, first aid instructor and Lead PTL (physical training leader). 30% of the Air Force's PT test is the abdominal circumference measurement (waist measurement). For maximum amount of points for women, you need a 29.5" waist, and men need a 32.5" waist. This measurement is done right above the hip bone (ileac crest) and across the belly button, with no sucking in. People always come to me for advice how to lose weight so they can pass their test.
The reason I'm telling you all this is to explain that I know a quite a bit on nutrition and exercise. When people think of health, they always want to think weight. A skinny person can be just as unhealthy as an overweight person. When I think of health, I think of my cells and my internal organs. I also think of disease and infection free.
I just bought some products from Isagenix on Friday and my boyfriend and I are going to start this 30 day cleanse when we get our package. My boyfriend was skeptical until I had him listen to a cd that was written by Jim Rhodes (he's one of the top nutritionist of the country and was asked to speak at Harvard's medical conference on today’s food and its nutritional value. Did you know that in the 1950's, 1 out of every 12 people was diagnosed with cancer or heart disease, and now, 1 out of 2 is? Did you also know that because of pesticides and hydrocarbons, al of the bacteria that used to break done the minerals in the soil so we could utilize them are virtually all dead? UCLA discovered in 1997, that a bowl of 1953 spinach has the same amount of iron as 47 bowls of spinach from 1997.
No wonder everybody is fat and sick, think of all of the toxins and lack of nutritional value in our foods today. Why do you think everything is fortified? I just left Seattle on Friday. I was visiting my 82 year old grandpa and my 57 year old aunt. My grandpa looked so much younger than when I saw him 7 years ago, and my aunt looks 30. 7 years ago my grandpa had to have a quadruple bypass surgery, and because he had prostate cancer, he had to have his prostate removed. He started taking Isagenix, and his health improved so drastically, that his doctor wrote a prescription for it so his insurance would cover it.
I'm not selling the product, I just really believe in the product because of what I've witnessed and from listening to the CD's and watching the videos (especially "Dr. Dr. give me the news") about this product, and from what I'm learning in my cellular biology courses, I know this stuff is true.
It's not a colon cleanse, it's a cellular cleanse. Oh, and you actually pay less for groceries, so it's not expensive, because these aren't stupid pills or gimmick shakes, their pure nutrition with all 90 organic minerals missing from the food we eat now.
Google Isagenix and look at the “isa-videos”, then write how you think it's a gimmick, you won't be able to.
I will keep you all posted on my boyfriend's and mine results. I don't have much to lose; I'm doing it for my health, but my boyfriend has quite a bit to lose, so we'll see how we look and feel.
P.S.
My aunt's picture is under "Contact me" on here website www.lifeenterprises.isagenix.com

Mike G:
When you did the cleanse, did you even listen to the CD's?? I don't believe you did because the stupid lemon cleanse is only cleansing the liver, this cleanse actually cleanses your cells. It cleans the vacuoles which hold all of the waste in your cells, and also feeds your mitochondria and provides chelates that allow your body toutilize the nutrients. Nutrition isn't about weight loss, it's about health. And health, like all living thigs are all based on science of your body, the biochemistry of the cells.

Eight months ago I did a 9-day program, and then I went on the maintenance. I lost 25 pounds and I've kept it off. Did I change my lifestyle? YES! I didn't feel like exercising before I did the 9-day cleanse, but after I started it, I started exercising. Before I did the cleanse, I drank lots of colas, coffee, and tea. Now I drink mostly water. I'm sure the question would be "Could I have lost the weight by doing all of the right things without Isagenix?" All I know is that I really didn't want to put forth the effort to exercise and I didn't want to give up my coffee that I drank all day long. I'm not a doctor, but I do understand that part of the cleansing process and products help to change your body from acidic to alkaline and things taste different. I had more energy. It's not just about weight loss. Weight loss is just a nice side benefit. Yes, it is a network marketing company and I don't mind that they send me money every week.

So Mike G..... Looks like your selling your own product on here, aye?? I found a website where you have Isagenix as well as many other products listed, http://bodycleansediet.com. Are you confused as to which product works the best? Or just out to earn money on which ever one sells at the time?
I have a friend who bought your product and the approximate total to buy all of the ingredients to do your 30 day genie cleanse was $225 dollars. WOW! Now if we add in the cost of the "recipe", another $27, she actually spent more on your program, not including running around to get 40 some odd inches of fresh ginger for each 10 day program (time and gas).
Then my friend tried the Isagenix program, since you had it listed on your site. For $249 plus tax and shipping she got enough nutrient filled product for 30 days AND as an added bonus unlike your program she got 1 Bottle Ionix Supreme, 1 Bottle Isagenix Snacks, 1 Bottle Natural Accelerator, 1 Bottle IsaFlush, 4 Packets Want More Energy drink mix. She had better results on the Isagenix program than the genie diet, not to mention she can buy only the items she needs ala carte to maintain her results. My friend is not a sales person, she doesn't push the products, when asked what she did, she refers people to isagenix.com. This way people can make their own call and judge the products themselves. They have ingredient labels, supplemental panels, etc. What nutrients are in your cleanse?
My friend even went so far as to print out the supplemental and ingredient panels from the Isagenix website and went to her local health food store to try and find products that contained all of the ingredients and nutrients in the same form and mixture. Unfortunately, she could not. However, she could purchase multiple items that whencould be taken in conjunction with each other, but this raised the cost.
Bottom line is: read, research, and make your own decision on what product or products are right for you. Always check with your medical provider BEFORE starting ANY weight loss program, and remember that exercise is ALWAYS recommended with any program you choose. If a program tells you "lose weight without the execise", run as fast as you can!!

Their marketing strategy is the main reason why I'm relectant to buy their products. I wish they could be more straightforward. I talked to a 'coach' (independent associate) before and the discussion was such a waste of time. He was trying to talk me to buy more than one 30-day program. I hadn't even started! I live in Hong Kong. Maybe they are different in other countries, I don't know.

Marketing strategy? I was invited to check out the website by a friend with no other prompting. Without calling my friend back to ask questions, I ordered the Presidential package because my wife and I wanted to lose some weight and become healthier. No one prompted me to spend the amount of money that I spent, but I wanted to try out a lot of the products. It was simply the best value. There is a money back guarantee, so it really didn't matter which package that we bought. Plus, when we considered the meals that we were replacing, the cost was not an issue. It's not like we were spending a lot of extra money to buy stuff we weren't going to use.
The fact is that I sit at a computer all day and I had needed to do something. I was tired of feeling sluggish. I was tired of feeling unhealthy. It only took 4 days of the cleanse before I felt like exercising. It only took 4 days of giving up foods that I shouldn't be eating anyway before I didn't feel addicted to them. My health improved in more ways than I can express on this forum. I am making money by referring others to the program, but I wouldn't bother if I weren't so pleased with the results.

I began my health and wellness goals after being told by my doctor I was pre-diabetic and borderline high blood pressure. After a scuba diving trip that did not go well (due to my poor health), I decided to try and she the extra pounds. It was important to me to find a helathy, well-balanced program that would not only give me a jump start, but also allow me to learn how to make a lifestyle change to better health and wellness.
About 30 days ago, I found out about Isagenix through a co-worker. In the past 30 days, I have released 20 pounds and lost 4 inches in my waist, going from a size 12 to a size 6!! My goal is for another 10 pounds, which I would like to shed by December 31st.
Along with 4 other coworkers, we have had great success in losing our weight. Getting through the holidays and working toward our goals is ahead. Once we do that, we then plan on implementing what we have learned to maintain our new found health and wellness. Isagenix has been a life changer for myself, my coworkers and my partner.

Dian - you are absolutely right! I too have had fantastic results on Isagenix. I have lost 20+ pounds and went from a size 12 to a size 6 in one month's time. At first, I thought it was going to be too expensive and worried if I could keep it up. After being on the products and feeling so great, I would trade many things to keep buying the products but do not need to, as it is so affordable when you break it down!
I actually did become an associate and now my products are fully paid for PLUS a nice income!!
Yu Wai - Remember, when a company decides to use referral advertising, each associate's job is to educate themselves and share what they know. With my team, I am more concerned about them personally and make sure I am always highly educated and informed on as many products as I can be. I never try and "sell" the products, I simply share my results and experiences and if it is the right time then I am happy to be the best coach I can be. I suggest you take your time and learn more about the product and when you feel it is right, you may simply find an associate who fits your style more!!

WOW. Theres NO way you are a isagenix associate, ya right. I tell you, if I got a dollar for every Isagenix associate that has attacked my website, I would Be rich. Main reason why I don't promote it anymore, too pushy with there overpriced, awful tasting product.
But again, unlike you i am not knocking its results, it does work, but at a huge cost.
Now, you said "your friend" (ya, ok) spent over 200 dollars for the ingredients for the genie diet, wow! he/she must have been shopping at 7 eleven or something, that's crazy.
It only cos ted me 18 dollars for 10 days. But, I'm sure the 225 cost for the genie diet ingrediants is a lie, just like the whole "my friend bought it" story in your post. Your obviuosly a isagenix associate. It may have passed, if you didn't start plugging all the products by name you get with isagenix. Nice try though.
By the way, The Genie Cleanse diet is not my product, its just a better one. And its Not a 30 day cleanse diet, its a 10 day cleanse diet, but this goes to show once again, that you are only out to slander it, and have never tried it.
Anyhow, thanks for your reply.

Lisa: I think I'll take your suggestion and try to find a 'coach' whose style fits me. It can be quite hard tho because here in Hong Kong, 'representatives' of companies tend to be quite pushy. I'll try to see if I can find one who doesn't just look at money. Thanks for your advice.

After thinking about it for a long long time, I've decided to give it a try because i'm a bit desperate. I've just got a 30-day programme, I hope it works. After looking at the menu, i'm a bit worried that i'll be hungry all the time but I really need something to help me start.
