I was thinking about how I really need a healthy cook book. Then I remembered someone saying that The Abs Diet by David Zinczenko and Ted Spiker had some good recipes in it.

So I went to order The Abs Diet and when I searched for it on Amazon The Abs Diet for Women by the same people came up too.

I plan on using this for both my husband and me. What's the difference? Which one should I get?

I know there are some super Abs Diet advocates out there so help me out! Thanks!!

I think the one for men might have the males consume more calories considering that they're usually higher in muscle than females.

Which reminds me, just yesterday I went to kmart because they had a 30% off gym stuff. And they had a few new stock items in, one was a female dumbbell set and barbell set (seperate), it only had a few weights in there but it seemed really light. It peeved me off in a way because i'm currently doing weights and looking for things like that, but it seems like the mens range has more to ofter, such has they'd have 2-40 pounds in their dummbell sets but in the females it was only 2 X 1 kg plates, and 2 x 2 kg plates. I'd be over that in a week. You couldn't buy more plates, they looked like they were special types of plates so I don't know if throwing on normal ones would help.

But that's what I hate about the differences, why can't they give the same amount of weights to females (ok well a little bit less) and let us judge for ourselves if we'd like to lose weight and put on muscle. I feel like if I bought that I wouldn't be gaining any muscle because it's too light!

I have heard that the women's version is almost identical to the mens.

The ABS Diet is great.

I know, exactly. I have read complaints that they just slapped on a new label and changed a few things around.

It is pretty much just concentrating on eating healthy foods 6 meals a day. It's not like they can change much between men and women.

Plus, 2 seperate books = 2 sources to make money.
