I would love to be able to know the nutritional info when ordering out.

Reply by Lisa Keenan

I recently went to New York and noticed this in T.G.I. Friday - I have to say I thought it was a really good idea myself! It really showed that even the things you think are healthy options aren't. I live in London in England and the portions here are MUCH smaller than in America so I already knew that the calorie count would be extremely high. But I can definately see how if you grew up around portions that big you would underestimate just how bad they are for you. I loved being able to se...

Reply by Neesha D

Ah, but if you don't know, it's not your fault, right? Right? :P

Yeah, I'm a sucker for more information, not less. But on the other hand, my family as a whole doesn't have any weight problems (everyone is probably with in 10lbs of their target weight).

I'm the only one who looks at nutritional information, the rest just seem gifted with bodies that inform them very well of when they are full. I often feel like I can eat forever. :P However, lots of exercise has h...

Reply by Rachael M

But then Fowler noticed that the waiter had handed her friend an old menu, which didn’t have calorie counts on it.

“You got a menu without anything on it?” she asked her friend. “Can I have yours?”

Are you kidding me?? It's astounding to me that some people don't want to know. I wish that was a law everywhere. I wish that they had full nutritional info on everything everywhere - even if it was just on request. Just having it available would be fantastic....

Reply by T K M

I LOVE THESE!!!

I'm so glad NYC is doing it, it really keeps me in check!

Although... Starbucks ones are a little tricky, especially if you customize your drink.. I usually just use the website for this.

Also I'm glad I found out Dunkin's Flatbreads aren't that bad for you cuz' I will continue to eat them!...

Reply by Angie H

OMG, great article Neesha! You're right, they should do that elsewhere. It's really a wake up call for people who don't have a clue about nutrition.

Reply by Neesha D

Interesting article from msnbc. Not really any new information, but it makes me wish we had the values listed here. I know from lots of reading/research that most things have way more calories then you expect. However, it would be really nice to be able to put together a meal when you're out with the information right there.
