Its now 10:10pm and i'm not particularly hungry just now but could probably do with some food in about an hour, is it worthwhile trying to make some tea/dinner at this point? Or would it rather be beneficial to just leave it now till the morning and have breakfast (mmm... weetabix ) considering I wake at 5:30am every day.

For the sake of 7.5 hrs... it just doesn't seem to be worth actually making anything right now as i'm intending to go to sleep in a few hours.

What do you think?

I drink milk every night. It isn't very high in calories but has enough protein to slow down or prevent catabolysis. it takes 4-7hrs for the casein protein in milk to be digested, so makes for perfect pre-bed drink.

When your body is hungry it's sending a signal you shouldn't ignore; don't gorge yourself right before going to sleep, but going to sleep hungry is possibly just as bad.

Milk is a great pre-bed drink with a handful of almonds or something...

I've been logging what I eat and how I eat. And my weight and things.
If you're looking to lose weight in the morning, you don't have to eat at night.

But, since I've been logging calories every day, I've found that a snack before bed ain't so bad. Yeah, I'm not a couple tenths of a pound lighter in the morning, but I feel better when I get enough calories in. I was eating way under what I needed to before, and I'd wake up feeling sick to my stomach.

Want a snack?
I'd say go for it.

It is very good to eat within 3 hours of going to sleep. However, you want your body to digest the food before you fall asleep so wait at least an hour before you go to bed after a late night snack. Sleep is when your body is repairing itself from the previous days activities so get a little bit of protein with that late night snack

I completely agree with this. It doesn't matter when you eat as much as WHAT you eat and how much.
