I've been taking the same crap for about a year, BodyFortress Protein(doesn't taste that good) which has 56g/2 scoops. Now, I want to try a new supplement not that it's not working, but because of it's taste and my long dependency to it. I have tried Muscle Milk and that's a bit better. Got any suggestions for great tasting protein with a high count?

I am 34 years old, married and a father of a 2.5 year old. They are the motivators for me to reach my goal. I started the new journey on 8/21/06 @307 lbs and as of June '08, I have lost around 108 lbs. I have been able to keep 100 lb weight loss since Sept. '07. What keeps me on track is the Traineo community, vision of a healthy and fit future and the mini-goals below. *GOAL 1 = 244 lbs, Date = 2/15/07 Date Met = 2/7/07 *GOAL 2 = 229 lbs, Date = 3/22/07 Date Met = 3/30/07 ________________________ *GOAL 3 = 199 lbs, Date = 6/30/08 Date Met = 6/5/08 *GOAL 4 = 185 lbs, Date = 09/30/08 Date Met = TBD (185 is my "ultimate" goal. Then build muscle.)
Hobbies/Interests: Baseball, White Sox, bowling, WII, Xbox 360, PSP, XM, Opie and Anthony radio show, Ron and Fez radio show, variety of music, working out, running.
Personal Records: 5K - 26:18 (4/14/08-8:29/mile pace) 10K- 54:56-9/16/07-(8:43/mile pace) 10 Mile Run - CXLD due to injury Marathon - 10/12/08
Advice: - Set a Deadline: "A goal is a dream with a deadline - Napolean Hill." - Set Mini Goals - They help you accomplish small milestones on your way to the "ultimate" goal. - Track your progress. - Plan everything out. Daily workout routines, meals, etc. - Be patient. Your goals will eventually be met, if you work hard.

Cytosport Whey Protein is pretty good stuff. It's the best tasting that I've found so far. I'd actually consider it a decent sub to chocolate milk.

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

If you're mixing w/ powder, Designer Whey is affordable, good quality, and tastes good... Although I personally stick w/ Body Fortress b/c you can't beat the price!

Yea Body Fortress is good, 2lbs tub for $12, but I am really getting sick of the taste. I have tried Optimum Nutrition protein, it was mint chocolate, wasnt too bad. I like EAS bars, eat them alot but didn't know they made protein powder. I'll look into it, I love Myoplex.

I have been surfing and doing Martial Arts over 25yrs now. I mix in many other sports, just not consistently.
I've decided to make strength training my primary focus now..

I like American Whey taste the best of the 5-6 brands I've tried. Only 20g per scoop, but it doesn't have the fat and cholesterol like some others do. Plus it is only $138 for 25lbs, so cheap enough to add a little extra to the shake.

Looking to add some muscle over the next few months. Trying to get in those calories and focusing on the compound lifts. We'll see how it all goes :)

I buy Optimum's Gold Standard Whey Protein (double choc.). The 5.15 tub is 30ish$ on Amazon.com
The best part is it is low carbs 3g's and comes with BCAA's and glutamine which is something you'd want anyways.
Its like a chocolate milk when mixed with milk (it tastes eeeeehhhh in water but I can still choke it down if I really need too).
