In order to graduate, I've had to pull several all-nighters just getting projects done and stuff. Also, been eating a ton because, well, I'm stressed out. After losing 12lbs, I put back 7ish lbs in one week of college freak-out. Granted, a bunch is actually the real weight of the food (several 1lb pasties a day, some subs, etc :-P )
Just happy that on May 1 I am officially done and can just start working out regularly, no class projects to hinder me anymore.
Anybody else in the same boat?

I've been there before. (I graduated last May.) So I feel your pain. It's all about surviving sometimes. The energy/time does not exist in weeks like that it seems to be healthy. I'm not trying to make excuses, but there are only so many hours in a day.

consider light cardio to wake up instead of junk food, if you're looking for a solution.
but congrats, otherwise, on being almost there. it's hard times for many a student, including myself, this last month.

yes, i graduate in 2 weeks and i've got a very busy few days ahead of me. when i get busy, exercise is always the first thing to get pushed aside. sadly. i hope that in the summer i will be able to do more outdoor activities in the nicer weather.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they haev to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is NOTHING.

If it's any comfort at all, most likely a LOT of that weight is water weight, it's unlikely that you've eaten 24,500 EXCESS calories for it to all be turned into fat. ONE week of bad eating isn't good for you, but it's not going to ruin your health either... you have to REALLY try to make your body change one way or the other; unfortunately gaining weight/fat isn't as much effort in American society as it probably should be due to ease of access for junk food.

I'm a dancer, just now learning how to take better care of my body! I'm also a foodie and an advertising professional - not sure which of the three I like best. I like snowboarding, calico kittens, collecting badass hoodies and sneakers, poker, crude humor, the fine arts, and colorful socks.

oh i remember those days! pulling entire all nighters...sometimes days in a row. i'd eat entire frozen pizzas, hit up 24hr fast food places, etc... and be ok with it. (i'm also a stress-eater!) i don't think i'd be able to feel good about it if i did it now.
i also remember spending nights on the third floor of the undergrad library....

yah, I'm right there with you too. When I can get to bed at a reasonable hour (before 2) I'm fine eating my last small meal at 10ish, but when I know I'm pulling an all nighter the snacking becomes a free for all and absolutely necessary to stay awake.
what I try to do is keep tons of healthy snacks in my room so even though in one evening I'll have about 6 snacks it consists of carrots and hummus, yogurt, cottage cheese, a fiber one bar, grapes, 2 apples (one with a spoon of pb) its not absolutely destroying my diet.
that was thursday night for me btw

Ahh, the good ol' days of smuggling 3am pizza into Odegaard...
Here's one other tip I just recently adopted: make eating an event of it's own. Don't snack while you study, take a 10-15 minute study break specifically TO snack. Your mind will respond to the break and you'll feel (a little more) refreshed when you go back to the books, and you're building a habit of only eating when you're focused on eating. The absent minded snacking can be dangerous, especially for you stress eaters! It's the same logic behind not eating dinner while you watch TV, if you let yourself graze without thinking about it you might just find yourself with more empty food wrappers than books in your bag.

The same thing happened to me! I've been slowly gaining weight over this year (my senior year), despite half-hearted efforts to eat well and exercise. I had convinced myself that I was okay, though pants were getting tight and I had to stop wearing some of my clothes (thank goodness for skirts!). The week of finals/graduation was one of the most stressful weeks of my life, and the combination of not sleeping, snacking, and going out with my family didn't help a bit. After one of my aunts commented on my weight gain, I resolved that I had to do something about it, and stumbled upon traineo! Wish me luck, I'm hoping to lose at least 15 over the summer...
