I know added sugars are bad, but I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. There aren't many foods I'm fond of that aren't sweet. I try to gravitate toward fruit (and Kashi cereal...yumm), though sometimes chocolate and the like get the best of me.

My favorite foods are apples, oranges, dried blueberries (added sugar though, so I try to stay away), Kashi cereals and granola bars, vanilla soymilk, and regular milk with protien powder added. All full of sugars I also love candy, but I really try to stay as far away as possible. I also like garlic...I can eat almost anything if you put garlic on it.

Most of my diet it carbohydrates because of this. Nuts are okay, but not great, in my opinion. Same goes for meat-I eat it for about 5 meals a week, at the most, because I just don't like it much. And when I do eat meat, it's normally pork, because I don't really like chicken (I like turkey, but my mother never buys it). I absolutely LOVE steak but I never eat red meat more than once a week, because I like it and will eat way more than I should.

I want to get more protien (and a tiny bit more fat) but I don't know what to eat without it being a carb overload. Help?

The benefits of fruit outweigh the amount of sugars found in them as long as you stick to fresh fruit.

Omega 3 enriched eggs are a good choice for protein and they have a high dose of vitamin E as well.

Okay, well tofu chicken is also high in protein, low in fat and low in carbs

Also, think about taking a look at sugar alternatives like Steviva or Xylitol when sprinkling.

We keep Splenda in house, but I add sugar to things so rarely, it's not worth ordering one of those online (I have my Monday morning mocha, which is 1/2 tbsp of chocolate syrup (bad, I know, but that's 1/4 of a serving size!), 2 tbsp of coffee creamer, a rather large amount of cinnamon, and a tiny pinch of Splenda if the coffee's too strong for my liking...a grand total of 45 calories).
