wtf is that?

Right out of wiki- "a thin crispy moulded cookie apparently of Scandinavian origin"
A really thin and brittle piece of deep-fried dough shaped into a design and then coated in sugar. Really tasty while eating it. Not so good after.

The whey powder I use (walmart) recently changed their formula to add a measly 6g of protein and made the taste suck big time

Body Fortress?

that's the one... to their benefit, they also added creatine, bcaa's, and l-glut., though not enough to be effective.

I was staring at that for a while at Walmart on Monday. I almost picked it up that and their shaker. I decided to start with a RTD version of EAS Myoplex Lite.

The obvious benefit is the price, which is why I use it. If you can find the version w/ 46g protein instead of the 52, it's actually pretty good. When they changed the formula, they apparently threw in a huge helping of ass.

Sporadic eating today...

Had a bagel topped with peanut butter for "dinner." Surprisingly good and LOTS of protein!

beautiful honey instead

Minu, how about brown sugar? Some web site should that 1tsp of honey has more cal than 1 tsp of brown sugar. I have never heard of "Steviva" and "Xylitol" . I will definitely check them out.

George Foreman

Racheal, I have never used it. It sounds like a cooking device that filter the oil from food during cooking. Too bad, there is no Zaxby’s in CA. I always go to Panera Bread for lunch. I love their pick2 combo also. I normally choice grilled salmon salad and black bean soup. I like their asian chicken salad and turkey chickpea chili also

hard boiling eggs

Dave, I have been eating tuna and hard boiled egg in order to build muscle per my nutritionist instruction. I am a little uncomfortable to have egg everyday. On the other hand, I like the yolk and feel a waste to trash it. Is tuna better than egg to you?

Pre-WO (am): raw oatmeal+ applesauce 1/2 cup
Post-WO(am)+breakfast: cottage cheese 1/2, pineapple 200g, apple 1
S: 2% fat milk 1
L: Chinese buffet (a lot of veggie ~2-3 cups, some bites and pieces of chicken/beef/shrimp ~3oz, wonton 2, almond cookies 2)
S: apple 1
Pre-WO(pm)+dinner: hardboiled egg 1, almond 1 oz, raw oatmeal+applesauce 1/2 cup
Post-WO(pm): strawberry 250g, deli ham 2
~ 1800cal

I gave myself C. Too busy at work today. The snack time was too far apart from the previous meal. The 2nd S did not contain protein. I control well in the CHN buffer (it was a welcome lunch for a new employee). But, I believed it has a lot of msg and unhealthy cooking oil.

Glovia, the GF is advertised specifically for draining the grease out of foods like hamburgers and such. If you click on the link and click on the pic for a bigger version, you can see how the grease drips down out of the burger into the little grooves then drips down into the tray. The little tray is usually about half full after hubby and I cook 3 or 4 turkey burgers. Then after it cools, it get all solid and gross, and I keep imagining that in my arteries. Ewww.

Yesterday:
Pre WO snack: protein bar (200)
Dinner: Fish Market - grilled sailor's plate with 2 fillets of some kind of fish, 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, and I only ate 1 of the oysters cause they're pretty gross. Also, a Greek salad with lettuce, peppers, tomato, olives, and Greek dressing. I ate 4 crackers and 1 hush puppy. (700 Cal - this is a guess)
Total: 1900 Cal, a little more than I was shooting for.

Today:
Breakfast: whole wheat bagel with crunchy honey PB (400)
Later today:
Snack: cheese cubes (100)
Lunch: whole wheat hot pocket and thing of yogurt (400)

Tonight for dinner I'll make us a massive spinach salad with sauteed garlic and onions, halved yellow cherry tomatoes, roasted almond shavings and crumbled feta in a classic balsamic/olive oil dressing. Then will come some whole wheat penne with chic peas in an arugula/padano pesto sauce. A nice lil bordeaux to wash it down.

Looking forward.

I picked up some EAS Whey protein that was on clearance at Walmart. Same size and a little cheaper than Body Fortress. They did have both the 46g and 52g version of Body Fortress there. I did pick up the Body Fortress shaker though. Maybe I will try Body Fortress next time.

CRIKEY THAT WAS GOOD EATIN'!

I just love it when Hub eats healthy without knowing it...

Too bad I can't help him out at lunch time when he's left to his own gourmand devices...

I had 2 bowls of frosted flakes this morning for breakfast.

Lunch I ate at Jason's Deli. Had half a chicken wrap and a cup of chili.

My appetite has been weird since I started these meds...

I think in a good way. I don't get hungry as often...and I don't eat as much when I am hungry (those 2 bowls of cereal were after 15 hours of not eating). And my stomach doesn't like when I eat things that aren't healthy for me...so maybe that's my body's way of overriding my brain and saying it's time to get this diet in order? I dunno...we'll see what the effects are over the course of the week. Hopefully I can post a loss next week before people start catching up to me!!!

B: deli ham 1, pineapple 150g
S: peanut butter 1 tsp, banana 1
L: Panera Bread pick2 combo(Grilled salmon salad, black bean soup), decaf coffee/skim milk/honey 1, tomato basil bread sample bites
S: deli ham 1, non-fat milk 1/2cup

Post-WO+1/2 D: hard boiled egg 1, almond 1oz, chicken stew 1/3 cup, pineapple 100g
~1500cal

I gave myself B today. Snack time has been too light and too far away from the last meal (too busy at work lately) But, I did try to have protein in each meal. I did not think I have enough veggie and too much friut serving though.

Fruits have more sugar content compared to veggie. I don't think it should replace veggie.
