I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

They actually taste pretty decent, but looking at the ingredients I think I'll stick to normal sausage...

They taste fine to me. I'm not sure if there are big benefits over real sausage. Maybe somebody can fill me in on that. I actually did not realize that they were meatless until I got them home. They seem less greasy than normal sausage.

Not sure why NONE of my pictures will upload! I am having a hard time losing the last 15 lbs after having a baby 2 years ago. I want to be back to my weight when I met my husband 7 years ago. We are going on a cruise June 7th and would LOVE to be at 128lbs. I am a stay at home mom and love it. When my daughter is taking her nap, I will play on the Wii. I am usually running around the house cleaning, cooking, playing, etc. For me to lose weight, I am not allowing myself to have a drink during the week (wish me luck).

I love to eat. Carbs is my weakness link that I always lose control in front of it.
I started running for fitness in 2007. Ever since I finished the 1st marathon (San Diego RnR 2007), I am addicted to running.
I started traineoing in Nov 2007. I have reached my goal weight in Jun 08 already. But, now, I don't care much about my weight. I care about it only if it affects my running performance.

I don't know why Panera not carrying grilled salmon salad anymore. Perhaps, it is seasonal. Some of the salads are seasonal also. Such as their poppy seed berry salad offers only in Spring.
Today:
Pre-WO: cooked oatmeal+applesauce 1/2cp (I still like cooked oatmeal more.)
Post-WO+B: pineapple 100g, 2% fat cottage cheese 1/2cp
S: 2 hard boiled egg w/only 1 yoke, grapefruit 1/2
L: Panera pick 2(Turkey breast on rye 1/2, garden veggie soup 1), decaf coffee in skim milk, sample bites of tomato basil loaf
S: blueberries 120g, chocolate soy milk 1, some peanuts
D: boccoli salad 2 cp, almond flakes 1 tbsp, canadian back bacon 2 slices, blueberries 50g
~1500cal
Grade A today. well balance in protein and carbs in every meal.

Hey Everyone! I am not sure if you have ever heard of the AMAZING benefits of consume limes... I usually squeeze a lime (instead of lemon) in my water. It tastes great and is extremely healthy. Many people are starting to get sick or are sick and by eating a lime, will help prevent sicknesses and make you better
Limes (Citrus aurantifolia) are thought to have originated from Southeast Asia, they grow in sub tropical and tropical regions. Today limes are grown commercially in the USA, Brazil and Mexico. Limes are similar to lemons in shape but are smaller and have green peel and flesh. Limes can either be sweet or sour in taste depending on the variety.
Below is a small bit of what I have discovered about limes.
Limes are similar to lemons and have many of the same health benefits; they are packed with flavonoids which have anti-Cancer and antioxidant properties. Limes are rich in the strong antioxidant vitamin C; vitamin C boosts the immune system and is great for colds, coughs, Flu, ear infections, osteoarthritis, Atherosclerosis, diabetic heart disease, age-related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Limes contain compounds called limonoids which can protect against different forms of Cancer such as mouth, lung, skin, breast, stomach and Colon Cancer.

I kinda want a snack too, but I think that's just the boredom talking.

Did you all know that there are snack packs that are only 100 calories? They taste so yummy, too! They are packaged in bags about the same size of the individual potato packages...
I am going to drink some water first, before I have a snack.
