Great post up on
The Daily Green.
In summary:
1. Throw away (or minimize) processed foods.
2. Have two meals out of the week from locally sourced produce.
3. Have one meatless meal a week.
Pretty modest proposal.
Even modest changes can go a long way. My own changes in January 2007 were:
1. Drink green tea instead of coffee.
2. Eat oatmeal instead of skipping breakfast.
3. Have salad twice a week instead of my usual lunch choices.
Results? 12% body fat (down from about 16%) and my first normal cholesterol/triglyceride levels ever in only 4 months.
What modest diet changes have worked for you?
