I am no nutritionist and I do not know the first thing about Nutrition so I have a few questions.

I am a big fan of Chipotle Burritos. Usually I get a 13" Flour Tortilla, rice, Barbacoa, Cheese and sour cream and it has
Calories 1085
Total Fat 51g
Cholesterol 144mg
Sodium 2360mg
Total Carbs 98g

Now since I started eating healthier (Tuesday) I have been back there twice and instead have gotten a Burrito Bowl which consists of Lettuce, Chicken and Pico de Gio and it has
Calories 224
Total Fat 11g
Cholesterol 96mg
Total Carbs 0

Now I know it is healthier than the burrito but over all is it healthy and can I stick with eating it? Thanks!

P.S. The pico doesnt have a nutrional thing from them so its not calculated.

Shouldn't the chicken have some protein? That doesn't sound too bad to me, but I'm no nutrionist. I wouldn't eat that more than once a week though personally.

MMM...chipotle is SO SCRUM-DIDDLY-UMPTIOUS!

There is still a bit more fat in the healthier choice than I would recommend. The calories look good and 0 carbs is good as well. I wouldn't eat this daily, but a couple times per week with decent meals for breakfast and lunch, I could see this fitting into a balanced diet.

I am not an advocate of removing 100% of carbs from your diet so you may even be able to get an occassional tortilla to eat along with this from Chipotle as well. (I know others may disagree)

Just make sure you don't get your usual (before Tuesday) meal. But I think you already know that.

Yeah haha. I am still trying to cut back on what I eat. I want to slowly wane (sp?) from it and not one big drastic cut back. In the past this is what I have done and that never worked for me.

As far as carbs going I am not trying to remove 100% of them it just so happens thats how the count turned out.

I couldn't find it but I did a google search and I found this information. IF you can get what you stated below under 300 cals, that is not bad. I might have to go now. Thanks for the info...
-------------------------------------
Chipotle's Chicken Burrito Bols--burritos without the 340-calorie flour tortillas--are CSPI's only recommended "Better Bites" at Chipotle. A Bol with chicken, black beans, lettuce, and salsa, has just 430 calories and four grams of saturated fat. Rice instead of lettuce adds about 200 calories.
If you want a Chipotle Burrito and not a Bol, CSPI advises consumers holding the cheese and sour cream. That can save 200 calories and a half a day's worth of saturated fat. We estimate that skipping the rice could save 200 calories more. And most Chipotle Burritos are big enough for two meals: Just ask your server to wrap each half separately.
-------------------------------------------

Here is where that info came from, http://www.cspinet.org/new/200309301.html

i agree with jeff's philosophy. personally i believe you cant go from eating a really high caloric diet to a very low calorie diet, you need to slowly change your diet . you are making changes to eating a healthier diet. is that entree the best thing for you? no. is it better than what you were doing? absolutely. the key is to change things slowly and make better choices and if you keep making better and healthier choices over time you will get healthier and lose weight. would i eat it everyday? no. once in awhile. its probably okay. if you have high blood pressure i would be concerned though b/c the sodium is probably high (you didnt mention what it was on the second entree).

I agree w/ Cardio on the not more than once a week or so... I would start going to fitday.com and log every single thing you eat or drink for at least a month. Additionally, look at some of the resources on this site for determining how many calories you should consume on a daily basis.
