Americans are lucky. You have one big Fat-Trap Season. The rest of the year temptation is at sane levels and everyone can work the weight off, and even have some time to flaunt the new body before FTS comes again.
In India we have many big festivals and many more small ones. And they all entail food that is terrible on calories and incredible on the taste-buds. We recently had Diwali (Hindu biggie-festival of lights) and Id (marks the end of the Muslim Ramzan fasting, another biggie) on consecutive days. Christmas is around the corner. Followed by the Hindu Harvest Festival in January. Everyone wants in on everything irrespective of religion.
Do you think this accounts for Weight Watchers not launching in India yet?
Every minute of exercise should count for twice the calories as compared to America to level the playing field.
