I'm considering ordering the 30lb tub of egg whites and was wondering if anyone has done this before? Curious about the quality and shelf life after being frozen. Since I eat at least 4 whites/day it would be pretty convenient and may actually save me some $ to get them this way.

Any experience with the large quantity frozen egg whites?

Where the heck can you get a 30lb tub of egg whites? I eat the same amount you do a day and that might be worth the money.

http://www.healthyeggwhites.com/products - though a Google search will produce more results, this is the one I was primarily looking at.

When I worked in a kitchen we always used the big bags of scrambled eggs for the breakfast buffett. I know it's not the same thing but it's a big bag of pre-scrambled eggs and you boil them in a big pot and end up with a ton of scrambled eggs. If I recall you could freeze them for quite a long time with no noticeable change, several months or so at least but that was unopened.

Lana's Egg Whites are also real popular. I think it's a 165 egg white tub for $30.

I just buy the egg substitute pack (Kirkland Egg Starts) from Costco. It's a tray full of the small size cartons (6 cartons?). I think it's like $1.33 per 16 oz container. I don't eat eggs every day, so I only defrost one or two per week.
