I am 22 years old living an active city life. My biggest downfalls are the fact that I live near a McDonald's and they have a dollar menu!! I work at an art gallery and also as a makeup artist; my interests are music, literature, art, road trips, anything exciting.

Hello everyone! I'm exciting that I found this site. A little about me, my goals, etc:
Name: Noelle
Age: 22
Goal: 115-125
Secret indulgence: Sweet tea, junk food snacks
Exercise: Walking
Biggest challenges ahead: parties/hanging out with people
HW: 150
LW: 120
CW: 150
Goal 1: 130 by March
Goal 2: 115 by May
I'm planning on starting a new exercise/eating regimen on Monday, and I am mentally preparing myself for that this week. In that regimen, I plan t of course, eat healthy, as well as to work out on different dancing dvds I've purchased. I live on the 8th floor on my apartment building and will begin to take the stairs rather than the elevator, and start walking to work each day (30 minute walk). I'm looking forward to everyone's support, and offering my support, and being able to have myself accountable!

I'm a longtime vegetarian with a wild schedule that doesn't leave me much time for myself. I'm always working to make more time for me.

I am 34 years old, married and a father of a 2.5 year old. They are the motivators for me to reach my goal. I started the new journey on 8/21/06 @307 lbs and as of June '08, I have lost around 108 lbs. I have been able to keep 100 lb weight loss since Sept. '07. What keeps me on track is the Traineo community, vision of a healthy and fit future and the mini-goals below. *GOAL 1 = 244 lbs, Date = 2/15/07 Date Met = 2/7/07 *GOAL 2 = 229 lbs, Date = 3/22/07 Date Met = 3/30/07 ________________________ *GOAL 3 = 199 lbs, Date = 6/30/08 Date Met = 6/5/08 *GOAL 4 = 185 lbs, Date = 09/30/08 Date Met = TBD (185 is my "ultimate" goal. Then build muscle.)
Hobbies/Interests: Baseball, White Sox, bowling, WII, Xbox 360, PSP, XM, Opie and Anthony radio show, Ron and Fez radio show, variety of music, working out, running.
Personal Records: 5K - 26:18 (4/14/08-8:29/mile pace) 10K- 54:56-9/16/07-(8:43/mile pace) 10 Mile Run - CXLD due to injury Marathon - 10/12/08
Advice: - Set a Deadline: "A goal is a dream with a deadline - Napolean Hill." - Set Mini Goals - They help you accomplish small milestones on your way to the "ultimate" goal. - Track your progress. - Plan everything out. Daily workout routines, meals, etc. - Be patient. Your goals will eventually be met, if you work hard.

I'm a 23 year old FFB (former fat boy). I'm a grad student at the Univ. of Phoenix. I was married on June 1st, 2007 by a wonderful supportive woman.
I have always been the fat kid so now I've changed that. I started at 305. I lost 80 pounds and was at 225 after I was sick. From Jan 07 to Apr 07, I put on 25 pounds. I then started to lose weight again, but started doing it the right way. I am now 235 and leaner than I was at 225. I'm going to see how close I can get to a 6 pack, but eventually I'll start trying to put on some muscle. Then lean out again.
Six-Pack would be awesome, I've never had one of those. So we'll see. (my photo is me at 305lbs. when i get a good pic of me now at my current weight, i'll post it)

I hate to be the bad guy noelle, but you want to lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks (beginning of March)? or 10 weeks (end of March)?
The first of those two probably not attainable, healthily (you could attain it tomorrow if you cut off your arm ). How tall are you? 115 seems low if you are over 5'1", maybe that's just my opinion.
The second, attainable, but it might only be possible if you crash diet. It's going to take your body a couple of weeks at least, to accomadate itself to your new regimen, then you only have 8 weeks to lose 20 lbs.
What you are going to do is good, definitely, but you want to start losing weight like right now, and our bodies just don't adjust that fast.
I commend you on your goals, they are great, and definitely achievable, I look forward to hearing your progress. Give yourself to the end of April, and you'll be right on track.
Prove me wrong.

I am 29 years old and have grown passionate about fitness and health! Overall, I have lost and kept off a little over 40 pounds, and I have about 20 or so more that I would like to take off. This last year has been tough and distracting in many ways, and I am back to work now! I am revisiting Traineo, because this site and the people here were instrumental in helping me lose my original 40 pounds so I am back! I regret that because of time constraints I won't be able to be AS active in the forums as I used to, but I will certainly try to stay in there and reconnect with old friend as well as make new ones.
My fitness goals remain the same as before as I haven't achieved them yet: *GOAL 1 = 140 lbs Target Date = 7/31/08 Date Met = TBD CURRENT FITNESS GOALS: Run a 5K, improve flexibility enough to do the splits, be able to do 50 pushups in a row, be able to do a pull-up, learn to do a hand stand and then hand stand pushups. :)

Welcome Noelle!
I wish you the best of luck on your goals....but like Nathan said, be sure and let your body adjust to what you are trying to do. It is best to try to aim for 1-2 pounds a week, that way it is more likely to be fat that is lost, and not muscle. Also, that way you will be implementing a lifestyle that you can maintain for a LONG time and you will have less chance of gaining all the weight back.
Good luck, and please let us know if we can help!

Sorry I was unclear; I meant the end of March. I had been eating healthily up until Christmas Eve then decide to start up again in January, and thankfully, I did pretty well before. Also, I'm 5'3 - 115 is the lowest I'd be okay with, and 125 would be the highest. I'm also going to focus on my measurements more than my weight.

That's a good idea, check your BF % too, it's healthy for a woman to be between 15 and 20. Unless you are going for competition levels of fitness, but I don't get that impression.
