Hello everyone, I have been on the site now for a couple of days, just trying to learn my way around here. I was invited by my friend Virgen Fraticelli (Millie). What a great site for motivation!
I have been overweight most of my life. A few years back, I was doing really well with nutrition and excercise. Eating healthy and was riding my bike ten miles a day. Then I met my husband! I was doing so good and then suddenly my lifestyle changed to mirror his. It happened slowly but wasn't long before I was eating fast food, eating late at night, not exercising etc. Over the past few years I have not focused on myself. I have been doing everything for everyone around me and only eating healthy half of the time which is NOT good enough. Now I am doing this for me. Enough is enough! I have really been focusing on this the past couple of weeks. Trying to get my husband involved because he could stand to lose some weight and regain his health too! He complains about the food and whines when it's time to walk and exercise. I'm not letting him bring me down! My son has been walking with me and is a good motivator

I have about 90 lbs to lose. My strategy is to eat as natural as possible, eliminating sugar, simple carbs and the bad fats completely. I have cut out red meat and still eat very little meat at all, but when I do it's fish, chicken or turkey. I am a firm believer in detoxification and working on that first and formost as well as getting back into the exercise. I am walking for now and have a quick routine for strength/muscle training. My goal is to work back up to biking as soon as I can purchase a new bike and get back to that ten miles a day or more! It may take a little time but I did it once before, I can do it again.
