Hi, all! My name is Misty, and I am a journalist in Alabama. I'm new to the community and hoping to find some support in my weight-loss endeavor!
I have always struggled with my weight, but the past few years have been particularly bad. In early 2005, I was up to an all-time high of 246.5 pounds. I started Weight Watchers and managed to lose about 20 pounds, but I gained part of that back when I moved for my job.
I started over at the beginning of this year, weighing in at 234.5, and it's been going pretty well so far. Right now, I'm down to 219.8 (as of today!). I'm also eating healthier and exercising.
My overall weight-loss goal is 80 more pounds. I'm 25 and 5'5", and I think 140 pounds is a pretty healthy weight for me. My short-term goals are to get below 200 pounds within the next six months and to run a 5k race sometime this summer.
