hi...

my name's aaron. i'm a 27 year old is&t helpline analyst from sacramento, california. i've been working a grave shift for about a year now, sitting behind a desk the whole time. it's definitely added some pounds (although i was over my ideal weight before i even started - computer work will do that to you) and added to my complacency with unhealthy eating.

now i'm at 225 and 6'2". i played soccer for 8 years, 10-18, and was in great shape. now you wouldn't be able to tell. i get winded just going up 4-5 flights of stairs carrying my 1 year old. not good.

my goal is to get down to 200 lbs and convert the rest to muscle (computer people aren't exactly renowned for their muscular physiques ) aiming, of course, for some defined abs.

i've started a swing shift and now have the opportunity to hit the company gym for an hour or so every work night. they have just remodeled and added in lots of new equipment including (my new love i think) a rowing machine. i'm looking to work up to rowing for the whole hour or so i visit the gym every night. that's one of my goals as well.

i've found some insightful information on this site so far and hope to keep accountable for my posted goals.

wish me luck!

aaron

Welcome Aaron
Good luck with your weight loss and fitness endeavours

I have a rower machine here at home and hope to incorporate this exercise into my weekly regime soon! If I keep on track, I can see it happening in 2 weeks!!

Nice to meet you!
Sam
